It is produced by a condensation reaction of polyvinyl alcohol and butyraldehyde. The resulting resin is known for its outstanding flexibility, adhesion, and water-resistant properties, as well as its resistance to UV radiation. Once cast, PVB forms a soff sheet that can range in thickness from 0.38mm to 1.52mm or 2.28mm. When bonded to glass, it creates a strong and durable safety glass laminate that is ideal for protecting people and property from both natural and man-made threats. At Gutmann PVB, we supply a diverse range of PVB products for both interior and exterior use. Our product holds glass fragments in place, eliminating the risk of injury from flying shards and maintaining the form and integrity of the building or structure envelope. Gutmann PVB interlayers ofier exceptional adhesive properties and demonstrate superior resistance to thermal and water damage. Our product strength, durability, and high level of transparency make Gutmann PVB suitable for a range of industries, including automotive, construction, and security.
Gutmann PVB Interlayer Applications: Bullet Resistant Glass Bomb Protection for high-risk buildings Balustrades and shop fronts Windows and skylights Security and protection Museums, galleries, and greenhouses Restaurants, hotels, and resorts Hospitals and medical facilities Shop windows Schools and universities Also Best Suited For: Our Commitment PVB CLOSER TO HOME. Gutmann PVB Extra Clear Interlayer is a versatile product that ofiers a wide range of applications across many industries. PVB known for its high levels of security and penetration resistance, which help to slow down the impact of external forces and prevent glass fragments from scattering. In the event of glass breakage, the shattered glass adheres to the PVB interlayer, minimizing the risk of injury from dispersed shards. This feature makes Gutmann PVB Ultra Clear Interlayer ideal for use in areas where safety and security are of the utmost importance. In addition to its safety features, Gutmann PVB Ultra Clear Interlayer also ofiers protection from harmful UV radiation and helps to reduce heat generated by sun exposure. Its low thermal conductivity acts as a filter, reducing the fading or damage of items that are susceptible to prolonged sun exposure. We are committed to producing high-quality products that meet the highest international standards. Our dedication to innovation and advanced technology ensures that our customers receive reliable and efiicient solutions for their specific needs. As the first PVB manufacturer in the Middle East region, Gutmann PVB ofiers a local source of top-quality PVB for the glass industry. Our strategic location enables us to supply PVB internationally, making it easily accessible from anywhere in the world while also being "closer to home" for our regional customers. Committed to Quality We are committed to producing high-quality PVB interlayers that meet international quality standards. With ISO certification, customers can be assured that they are receiving a product that has undergone rigorous testing and meets the highest quality standards. Committed to Reliability We understand the importance of reliability in the industry, we are committed to providing quality products on time, every time. Customers can rely on Gutmann PVB to meet their deadlines and ensure a smooth production process. Customizable widths up to 3.3 m (130 in)
Gutmann PVB Acoustic Interlayer Transport industry - airports, bus terminals and train stations Concert arenas and auditoriums Neighbourhoods and communicties in high trafiic areas Recording studios Gutmann PVB Solar (PV) Ideal applications include: Gutmann PVB Automotive Laminated glass, incorporating our interlayer ,provides excellent sound insulation by damping the transmission of sound waves, which reduces noise levels and minimizes sound disturbances. This makes it ideal for buildings located near busy streets, airports, or other noisy environments. Gutmann PVB is used in the automotive, marine, and yacht industries to safeguard against head injuries and flying glass shards. It is specifically used for windshield screens, windows, and roofs, and can be found in a variety of applications within these industries. Gutmann PVB is used in the manufacture of photovoltaic modules. Two layers of glass, one containing the specialized solar collection circuitry and the other being a productive backing glass, are bonded together using PVB to form a durable module with designed functionality.

Additionally, our ISO 45001 certification demonstrates our commitment to protecting the health and safety of our employees and reducing the risk of workplace accidents. BS EN 12600 is the industry standard that sets the benchmark for the pendulum glass impact test method specifically designed for single flat panes of glass used in building applications. This comprehensive test aims to evaluate the performance of flat glass products under impact and determine their mode of breakage. By adhering to this standard, manufacturers and suppliers can efiectively classify their glass products into three principal classes, providing vital information to architects, builders, and end-users. The pendulum glass impact test carried out in accordance with BS EN 12600 provides valuable insights into the safety and reliability of glass products. iff Rosenheim is an internationally certified independent testing organization.
