Cadets Concert, we must recognize two individuals whose generosity has had a
significant impact on the glorious sounds of our music program, Mr. Michael DeSimone
and his wife, Ms. Tricia Wendell. Michael DeSimone, a graduate of the class of 1962,
and Ms. Wendell have made a generous four year commitment to the music program
here at La Salle Institute. The first installment of their donation was used to purchase
a new bass drum head for our Drum Set, (Super Kick Aquarian I). The new bass drum
head has added depth to the low-end sounds of our Cadet Blues Jazz Ensemble,
Symphonic Band and Middle School Band. In addition, we used the funds to fix our
high-hat stand and purchase one chart for our festival season entitled Sandu. We are
excited and very thankful for the generosity of Mr. DeSimone and Ms. Wendell. We are
looking forward to celebrating the Christmas season with joyous music at Christmas
with the Cadets on Friday, December 9, 2016. See you there!
