6 WOMEN & CHILD KAJANG HOSPITAL . The Kajang Hospital is a government-funded district hospital located in Kajang, Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. The hospital was initially founded in 1889 and was in dire need of an upgrade. The state of the building was dilapidated and constantly congested with patients. 10 HOSPITAL SULTANAH MALIHA . The construction of Sultanah Maliha Hospital’s Additional Building has been approved by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA) under Rolling Plan 3, the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMKe-11 RP3) in 2018. The Health Works Branch, JKR (CKK, JKR) has been appointed as the Implementing Agency for this project in 2019. Services in existing blocks and new blocks will be integrated. Specialist services at Sultanah Maliha Hospital will also increase, which is; Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Ophthalmology (Eye), Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery), Dental Paediatrics (Children’s Dentistry). 6 complete operating theaters are also included in the scope of this project. 12 The Value Management Laboratory on 3-7 February 2020 has decided that the project cost is as much as RM 515,350,000.00 covering all scopes including the construction of 40 units of class G quarters for oncall staff facilities, multi-storey parking and others. The scope of distribution of 220 beds in the new hospital building block is as follows: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – 8 beds, Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) – 8 beds, High Dependency Ward (HDW) – 8 beds, Male Orthopedic Ward – 27 beds, Female Orthopedic Surgical Ward – 27 beds, Respiratory / Isolation Ward – 14 beds, Male Medical Ward – 27 beds, Multidisciplinary Ward (Ophtalmology / ENT/ OMF) – 27 beds and 1st Class & VVIP – 20 beds. 18 EMBUN RESIDENCE . Embun Residence, located at Alam Damai, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur was a continuation of an abandoned project consist of 2-block residential building. The existing building which provide 1 carpark for 1 unit was the main reason why the project was abandoned in the first place. For the new proposal idea, the existing structure will be demolished until the transfer slab level and a new tower (tower c) was proposed. CONCEPT - BIOPHILIC DESIGN - Biophilic design is a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions. 20 The diagram shows the design strategy for Embun Residence.

Ensure residents access to nature, encouraging biodiversity within site footprint and surrounding. The presence of water elements also brings a calming effect. Building materials also important in connecting the residents with nature. Imitate the rainfall, biomorphic in form, while enhancing the dynamic & diffuse light and shadows filtering the interior space. The curtain wall not only eliminates the feeling of being in a confined space but also invites more natural light indoors. The arrangement of the planter box reciprocates the feeling of being in an outdoor setting. • The pathways mimic trails of a forest allowing freedom of movement to the users. • Imitation of contour lines and terrain helps to establish a strong feeling of being in a valley. 22

24 LINKED BRIDGE . Penang International Airport is an airport in northern Malaysia. The airport is located near Bayan Lepas at the southeastern tip of Penang Island, 16 km (9.9 mi) south of the city centre. The airport is the third-busiest airport in Malaysia in terms of passenger traffic and the second-busiest in terms of cargo tonnage. Therefore, multi-storey carpark was needed to support the ammount of people from Penang Airport. 27 After the completion of the seven storey carpark and opened on 1st April 2023, certain quarters began pointing out a missing link. As there is no covered walkway between the carpark building and airport terminal, those who park in the building need to cross the road under the blazing sun or in the rain to reach the terminal.

30 TERMINAL 17 SHAH ALAM . Inadequate car park spaces and bus parks lead to congestion around Terminal 17. This is because there is no proper carpark prepared for the users of the bus terminal. Also, untidy stalls and lack of vibrancy in the area of Section 17 become part of the issues as well. Therefore, the idea of this project is to propose a place that caters for the entire community of Section 17 which functions as the transportation hub for the neighboring bus station while providing commercial values. This government quarters located at Kota Samarahan, Sarawak consist of 2 apartments, 1 terrace house, 2 semidetached bungalows, 2 single bungalows and other facilities like kindergarten, shophouse and multipurpose court. ‘Resort Living’ concept was applied where the objective is to build a home which provides a conductive and ideal living home for users to build up their happy family and to create a balanced living lifestyle - work - plays for the users. 08 | KUANTAN YACHT CLUB Recently, the outbreak of COVID-19 has exposed a major risk to Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020) campaign as 50% of Malaysia’s tourists are originate from Singapore and China. The increasing cases of COVID-19 in both countries has led to the cancellation of many tours, which has already led to a large drop in the number of tourists to Malaysia. For instant, the tourism industry in Pahang had recorded a loss of 1.05 million international arrivals each month between April and June year 2020, when more than 500 hotels in the state offering about 38,000 rooms were unable to operate as normal during the period. Malaysia is the one country in Southeast Asia that make some attraction of foreign students, sport athlete groups, and tourists to experience on sport tourism. Sport tourism has become a popular sub-sector in the tourism industry nowadays. The strengths of sports as a tourism attraction include the length of time in which the events take place, extensive publicity coverage through the print and electronic media, sponsorship from various domestic and multinational companies, and business opportunities provided to local residents during the event. Sport-based tourism has the potential to become a tourism product which can yield high economic BANDAR KUANTAN Kuantan is a city and the state capital of Pahang, Malaysia. CONCEPT - PERMEABILITY - A literal meaning of permeability could be observed from the physical world in which liquid or gas is allowed to pass through an object. On that sense, this permeable layer acts as filter. The role of the physical permeable layer is interface. In other words, it is a about the degree of control. DESIGN APPROACH Visual permeability -Tangible aspects of a space; extent to which a place can be viewed from other places Light permeability -The design of lighting device/shading device will affect the flow of direct sunlight into space. -Control the temperature and the quality of light into spaces. 07 | [KIZUNA] RESUDENCE This Rumah Perakku project is located in Meru, Ipoh, Perak. A housing solution in Perak for the B40 and M40 group that emphasize on the importance of Perak local identity, mix of culture and heritage. In Perak, B40 refers to a group with households earning between RM1,657 to RM3,345. M40 refers to a group with households earning between RM3,965 to RM6,732. Rumah Perakku affordable housing offers affordable prices for these group: -RM 90,000 and below for low-cost houses -No more than RM 150,000 for a medium cost house -Under RM250,000 for affordable housing 48
