Connecting Hearts........Connecting Minds... From the Principal Dear Parents, As we draw closer to the ending of this academic year, I would like to express how grateful I am to be leading such an amazing community of students, parents & staff. It has been a wonderful year! I am so proud of all of the achievements and accomplishments of our students here at Ambassador. Reflecting on the school year, we have had so many great memories and exciting events to look back on. We created memories with many successful events such as the Annual Day, the Kinder Sport, Hayakum, Field Trips, Book fairs, Chevron Reader’s Cup, CISCE National Games, Slumber Parties, First Lego Leagues, Graduation Ceremonies for different age groups, to name a few. Not only did our students really enjoy all these activities but these also added a new dimension to their learning journey. There could not have been a better way to end the academic year than celebrating the accomplishments of our students. I congratulate all our students for their personal successes, and I thank our teachers for their commitment to providing stimulating, challenging learning environment and opportunities throughout the year. I would also like to acknowledge all the time and effort dedicated to ensure that our students are well prepared for the demands of the final board examinations. I wish our graduating class much success in their future endeavours. www.ambassadorschool.com MONTHLY NEWSLETTER January 2024

www.ambassadorschool.com MONTHLY NEWSLETTER Parents, considering students will have break for a few days, I would recommend that students especially the young ones take up reading as a great holiday activity for building vocabulary, improving reading comprehension and developing written expression, all skills that will assist them in future learning. Importantly, reading can also provide media-saturated students with a vital break from technology. Additionally, before the weather gets warmer, explore physical activities as a family to help children understand the importance of maintaining health and strengthening family bond. A special thanks to the ASD parents, for the partnership between home and school. We appreciate all that you do each and every day for our school and our children. The passion and strength within our community makes our school truly a special place for our children and a place that I am extremely proud to lead. Looking forward to another year full of newer dreams, accomplishments and innovative practices. Warm regards Dr. Sheela Menon Principal January 2024

www.ambassadorschool.com MONTHLY NEWSLETTER WORDSMITHS’ WALL BY ABHINAV January 2024

www.ambassadorschool.com MONTHLY NEWSLETTER WORDSMITHS’ WALL POEM ON IMPACT OF GLOBAL INITIATIVES ON ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY In the dance of progress, a world entranced, Global initiatives, a fleeting chance. Sustainability, a distant plea, As nature weeps, a tragic decree. Forests fall to the relentless hum, Concrete jungles, where once trees had clung. Oceans choke on a plastic tide, Global efforts falter, Mother Nature sighed. Pledges made, yet emissions rise, As melting ice whispers silent goodbyes. The Earth, a canvas, painted in despair, Global initiatives, do we even care? In the echoes of promises, a fading rhyme, A planet we borrowed, now running out of time. Tragedy unfolds in nature's plea, For global initiatives, to set her free. JAY MEHTA GRADE 11 B January 2024

www.ambassadorschool.com MONTHLY NEWSLETTER LAUDABLE LEADERS WHISPERS OF CHANGE: A CITY'S TRANSFORMATION THROUGH GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES Amidst the concrete expanse of my city, a subtle shift occurred, a whisper of change in the air. It began with the sprouting of rooftop gardens, a colorful rebellion against the monotony of steel and glass. I, a mere city dweller, witnessed the impact of global initiatives on environmental sustainability transforming my urban landscape. Solar panels adorned buildings like shimmering petals, soaking in the generous sunlight, whispering tales of reduced carbon footprints. Recycling bins, once mere novelties, found their place on every corner, silently urging us to reconsider the fate of our waste. The city's heartbeat, once drowned in the cacophony of fossil fuel engines, softened with the hum of electric vehicles gliding noiselessly through the streets. Local markets flourished, brimming with organic produce, a testament to the newfound love for sustainable farming. Parks and green spaces, once neglected, now thrived as sanctuaries for both weary souls and resurgent biodiversity. In this urban metamorphosis, the impact of global initiatives on environmental sustainability became palpable. It wasn't just about reducing emissions; it was about rekindling a harmonious relationship with the Earth. I, a witness to this subtle revolution, felt a renewed hope blossoming amidst the skyscrapers—a sweet story of collective change, where the echoes of global initiatives resonated in the greening of our cityscape, promising a more sustainable tomorrow. www.ambassadorschool.com MONTHLY NEWSLETTER PARENTS’ PANORAMA During my upbringing, I harbored a strong desire to achieve success, just like many others. My mother also had high aspirations for me, and in those days, success meant becoming an engineer or a doctor. However, with thousands of private and public colleges producing a plethora of engineers and doctors every year in India, I began to question whether all of them were truly successful. I realized that success is not solely defined by one's career or profession. REDEFINING SUCCESS: LOOKING BEYOND EXTERNAL ACHIEVEMENTS KESHAV JHA UNCLE OF ADITI ANAND GRADE 4A I delved into biographies of successful people and discovered that many were not formally educated. One of the most inspiring examples for me was Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, who dropped out of college and yet built the most valuable company in the world. It became clear to me that success is not dependent on conventional paths or formal education. Success is often misconstrued as external achievements such as earning a high salary, getting promoted, or gaining recognition from others. While these may contribute to one's success, true fulfillment comes from within. It is about finding a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in one's life. Success is not a one-time event but a continuous process of growth and development. It requires consistent effort and dedication over time. The journey towardssuccess is filled with ups and downs, but it is crucial to stay committed to the process. The definition of success is subjective and varies from person to person. It is essential to define one's vision of success and work towards achieving it in a way that aligns with their values and beliefs. For me, success means being able to help others in need, providing a better life for my family, and exhibiting strength during tough times. In conclusion, success is not just about external achievements but is also about inner fulfillment and growth. It is a continuous journey that requires dedication and commitment. Each person's definition of success is unique, and it is important to align their actions with their values and beliefs to achieve true success. So, what is your success story? January 2024

www.ambassadorschool.com MONTHLY NEWSLETTER In the words of Braden Kelley, “Invention is driven by ideas, while innovation is driven by insights.” Our participation in the Electric Vehicle Grand Prix (EVGP) competition marked the beginning of an innovative journey, bringing together diverse talents in engineering, technology, social media, art, and business. Organized by Global EEE in the USA, the competition replicates a Grand Prix, challenging students to design, promote, and race electric cars. The unique twist of racing on a track added excitement, pushing us to optimize our car’s efficiency for maximum laps on a single battery charge. Led by grade 11 student Abhinav Chamoli, our team included Krishna Aggarwal (Design Manager), Yashvi Aggarwal (Projotech Manager), Naisha Kumar (Marketing and Photography Manager), and talented students from various grades contributing to technical, safety, and marketing aspects. Focused on achieving peak performance, our team extensively researched and implemented innovations such as a regenerative braking system to enhance the car’s overall efficiency. The primary race goal was to maximize the number of laps completed before the battery depleted. Teams from the UAE, USA, and Italy joined the competition, adding an international dimension to the challenge and fostering a global exchange of ideas. To market our electric car, we organized promotional events at the Ambassador School Kindergarten during the STREAM Festival and the Ambassador School Annual Day events. These activities not only raised awareness but also garnered support and valuable suggestions from parents. The EVGP competition exemplifies STREAM education, requiring not only scientific and engineering skills but also soft skills such as reading and researching. It encourages students to think creatively and problem-solve innovatively, fostering a holistic approach to real-life challenges. Our participation in the competition aligned with the school’s STREAM classes, encouraging us to think beyond conventional solutions and transforming our approach to real-world issues. The experience not only enhanced our technical skills but also uncovered hidden talents within the team. The EVGP competition has been a transformative experience, highlighting the importance of innovation and practical application of knowledge. As we strive towards success, we acknowledge the power of STREAM instincts in driving our journey forward, emphasizing that the world is continually evolving through innovation.
