The new decade of Bennetts British Superbike Championship action
begins with the opening round of the season at Silverstone this Easter
(April 10/11/12). The championship currently enjoys the biggest level of
support of any motorsport activity in the UK with the hosting circuits
reporting year on year growth of attendance figures. The Bennetts
British Superbike championship now a globally recognised brand,
broadcast live throughout Europe and Asia, with some of the world's
best riders and most prestigious manufacturers. It takes place over 12
rounds, 11 of which are in the UK, making it an entertaining and
exciting prospect for any business to get involved in. British Superbikes
are shown on ITV4, Eurosport and Quest TV. They’re featured in every
motorbike magazine, have extraordinary website trac and massive social
media reach. Average TV figures in 2018 for ITV4 and Eurosport
combined was almost 9,000,0000 and the average race weekend
attendance was 30000.

Brand exposure
You are very effectively putting your brand in front of a live spectator
and TV audience. This allows you to expose your brand to a large
amount of people from all over the UK, where it is unlikely to be able to
display your brand to such a large audience. It is also important to
remember internal marketing as well as external, your staff can be part
of the programme. It is also worth remembering that in traditional
advertising, the "action" must stop to get the message across, in
motorsport, THE ACTION IS THE MESSAGE

Hospitality
It is very easy and cost effective to entertain important clients and
potential clients at the events. There is a huge difference between
inviting clients to see a motorcycle race and to see "OUR" sponsored
Motorcycle race. Your guests and staff can feel important whilst having
a hugely enjoyable day out, getting much closer to the action than a
normal spectator, talking to the riders and team, standing in the garage
or sometimes even on the pit wall during a race.

Motorsport is a harsh, rough, technological environment, and you give
your brand an association not just with the glamour of motorsport but
align it in your customers eyes as an advanced brand, one that can
cope with this harsh environment. It is no coincidence that so many
technology companies associate themselves with motorsport.

Business to Business
The part of your partnership that can reap the most direct benefit,
dealing with the many teams, drivers sponsors and suppliers to the
sport on one hand, and using hospitality to talk to new customers on
the other. Maybe you have 5 target customers that you have spent a
year trying to deal with, possibly tying up a member of staff for that
year as they could be so important to you. If after a year you haven't
got in through the door, how much would a whole day talking to them
in a relaxed, enjoyable environment be worth to you? How much less
has that day cost you than a year tying up a member of staff banging
on their door?

Team and driver utilisation.
Any partnership gives you rights to use your relationship with the sport
and the team in your PR material, brochures, advertising etc, but subject
to availability you can easily go one stage further and have the bike,
driver or whole team at an event. This could be your annual trade show, a
press launch of a new product, opening a new office or outlet, or even an
internal event such as a sales conference.

Sponsorship Costs.
Sponsorship is a way to advertise your business services by aligning them
to an event, production, personality or team. Many sports and venues
offer sponsorship packages for events whereby you obtain advertising,
hospitality, tickets and other benefits for being a sponsor. Sponsorship
costs can be claimed as a tax-free expense only if they are exclusively for

TV Coverage and
spectators

All sponsors benefit from the association with the passionate NP
Racing team during our campaign to become winners in one of the
most prestigious racing series in the UK, British Super Bikes.
British Superbikes is shown on Eurosport, Quest and ITV4 and a
contract was signed to show ALL rounds on Eurosport up until 2027.
This allows your brand to be shown to an average of 94’000* people
per round (during triple headers it has peaked at over 184’000 people
per round),
2020 has been an unprecedented year with the exclusion of spectators
due to COVID-19. During the 2021 season we are expecting spectators
to return and from previous years each round has had up to 30’000
spectators at each round.

Team Wear (Clothing)

The team wear is important to the team and sponsors, so it is worn
by ALL members of the team. We will display ALL the logos from ALL
the team sponsors. We have selected the following team wear:

A) Hoodies,
B) T-Shirts,
C) Hats,
D) Jackets.

Team Wear promotes a sense of team spirit and a sense of
belonging. This, in turn, can motivate the team. Wearing the team
wear in the paddock and outside the track allows the spectators to
associate the team and appropriate brands. We are looking to add all
our sponsors to the team wear, the size of the branding is
completely dependent on the sponsorship package chosen.

Race Trailer

We purchased a multi floor race trailer that includes a sleeping quarters
for the whole team, cooking facilities and social area to relax after
racing.
The lower area of the trailer has dedicated areas for all the tools, spare
parts and branded garage boarding.
The trailer is transported to and from every round by an existing team
sponsor “Wheeler & Son Ltd”.
It is important to us that the race trailer is branded with the team colors,
team logo and sponsors logos. This branding can be seen whilst on route
to the event, in the paddock and on its return journey.
Having your brand on the race trailer is important and we will always add
our sponsors onto the side of the trailer, the size of the branding is
completely dependent on the sponsorship package chosen.

Team Garage

At each round each team with an entry into the British Superbikes are
given a garage on the pitlane which are viewable by the spectators.
To continue the branding and professional appearance we include garage
boarding that display the sponsors.
The boarding is branded in the team colors, team logo and sponsors logos.
This branding can be seen by TV camera’s, other teams and the lucky
public who get invited to the organized pit lane walks.
Having your brand on the garage boarding is important and we will always
add our sponsors onto the garage boarding, the size of the branding is
completely dependent on the sponsorship package chosen.

NP Racing understands the part social media plays in the lives of public and
businesses. We understand that to move forward the team and businesses
need to have relevant and engaging content on a public forum.

Racing Costs

To race at this level is expensive and the following values are what it
costs for 1 season to ensure we have a competitive package:
Tyres = £31’000.00 per season,
Race Fuel = £4’500.00 per season,
Engine Modifications = £10’000.00 per season,
Testing = £4’800.00 per season,
Race Support = £12’000.00 per season,
Crash Fund = £10’000.00 per season,
Entry Fee’s = £3000.00 per season,
These costs don’t include the cost of the actual bike.
Sponsors are key to be able to go racing and cover the above costs. We
respect that each sponsor has the potential receive a unique level of
brand exposure from being a sponsor.

2021 Rider TBC 2020 Season

At the end of 2019 NP Racing decided to enter 2 bikes into the British
Superbikes series.

• A 2017 superbike spec’d bike.

• A 2019 stock 1000 spec’d bike.

However, since lockdown was imposed on the UK everything changed and 1 of
the riders pulled out. So it was decided that during the lockdown to upgrade
the 2019 BMW S1000RR from Stock specification to full superbike
specification.

All the upgrades were complete before the start of the 2020 season but
without any sort of testing, this put us behind most of the other teams. We
could have pulled out of the 2020 season and scheduled some testing OR
compete in the shortened 2020 season. We aren’t a team who shy's away from
a challenge so it was decided to continue and use the 2020 season as a
testing season in order to prepare the bike and compete for podiums in the
2021 season.

We were making progress at each round but it wasn’t as quick as we would
have liked. Our rider decided to leave the team before racing at Brands Hatch
leaving the team in an awkward position. We had discussion with different
riders and we decided on an experienced rider called “Lachlan Epis” who flew
from Australia to ride in his first BSB race.
