Some of them start singing. Some of them do the rhythm.Some children may just sit and enjoy music. They would follow me for more singing. A comparison of Universal tones and Indian Music was pointed out. Music of other nations has seven white keys, five blacks keys and four chromatic tones thereby making 16 Quarter tones. Whereas Indian music has 66 Microtones in an octave.The author pointed out that Music therapy helps cure:Chronic Illness/Disease – Terminal Disease — Developmental Disorders – Psychiatric Disorders – Psychological Trauma – Grief / Loss Issues – Emotional / Spiritual crisis –Other psychosomatic illnesses also have important links to the curative process of Music Therapy such as:Chronic & Acute Pain – Anxiety & Depression – Alzheimer’s / Dementia – Neurological Disorders

There are various levels for chanting – Two audio recordings of Meditation Chants were played by the author. The Second module is Medical Astrology which deals with the solar system – SUN, MOON, MARS, MERCURY, JUPITER, VENUS, SATURN, NEPTUNE AND PLUTO - these influence the entire life of human beings including the HEALTH ISSUES.The Planets and their control over different parts of the body were explained. With the help of Medical Astrology the diagnostic purpose is served.The celestials have important control over the body parts: For example:SUN – eye, heart, intestines — MARS – blood, Liver — MOON – brain, nerves – MERCURY – kidney, skin — JUPITER – physique — VENUS – water content — SATURN – bone, — RAHU – ENT, general health — KETHU – lifespan, transits

They are: AJÑA - VIŚUDDHA-ANĀHATA-MAṆIPURA-SVĀDHISṬANA-MŪLĀDHĀRA. The author explained how the Cakra-s in a person’s body gets closed and positioned with the help of music therapy. Photos taken during clinical sessions were shown for better understanding and audio recording used for the Cakra healing was also played. Planetary mantra-s:The popular Gāyatri Mantra is very effective in healing spine-related health issues if it is chanted in a particular manner and speed for a

The case study of the author himself who suffered a severe eye disorder was cured very quickly with the help of Āditya Hṛdayam chanting and supportive medical assistance. The Moon chants are very powerful to heal brain related ailments like memory Loss, Alzheimer’s, Dementia etc. The author explained with the help of audio recordings of the above mantra-s to dwell upon the importance of planetary mantra-s for healing.The Navagraha Kṛti-s of Muttusvāmi Dīkṣitar are also a master stroke for curative healing. The outstanding feature of this set of compositions is their healing value and powerful ability to propitiate the nine planets for an all-round betterment of life of everyone who has no easy access to the Mantra-s. They enable everybody without distinction to win the favor and blessing of the planets. To demonstrate the effect of the songs, audio recordings of Rāhu Planet kṛti - Smarāmyaham was played. The author’s compositions, comprising around 26 CD and 4 DVD’s are for various ailments found in the human body. The specified method of listening was emphasized by the author. Specific listening methods and hours per day for prescribed number of weeks is advised to each person undergoing Music Therapy healing. For example, the rule formed was: For early and effective healing: Do Not listen to the music casually while you are engaged in driving, eating, working, cooking, chatting, etc. Music should be listened to when one goes to bed and sleep off with the music on. Areas of Music Therapy are:Stress – Strain – Anxiety – Depression – Romanticism – Memory loss – Autism – Heart ailments

Music therapy healing sessions are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment for specific medical conditions.Four examples of Audio Recordings and Video recordings were played which were used for Depression, Stress, Children, Pain, Relaxation, Autism, Memory loss, Blood Pressure etc. The instruments used for the audio recordings included Santūr, Bānsuri, Vīṇa, Shehṇāi, Nādasvaram and there was also Vocal music.Finally the author discussed the necessity for founding Indian Music Therapy Congress to encourage popularization of Music Therapy among the younger generations and establishing the Therapy Congress for global understanding and interaction.The author concluded his talk by paying obeisance to his Guru and Mentor.
