"WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF KAYAK SPORT"
To move on the water has been an ancient dream of mankind. For many years
now people have been fascinated with this sport, and with good reason. Today kayak
touring is one of the few ways to experience nature in its original form.
Kayaking down a silver-shining river or dreaming along a small meadow-lined
creek can be as wonderful and relaxing as an adventurous excursion along a coast-
line or a circumnavigation of an island. Paddling can become a wilderness experience,
often even paddling distance from cities, where the nature remains intact, and we can
be a part of it.
White water is comparably livelier. Which paddler cannot remember his first
whitewater descent, hearing the roaring of the rapids ahead and feeling the increasing
tension? This suspense arc will always remain. With growing skills the individual
degree of difficulty can be increased at liberty. With time one will find one's own
favorite level, be it classic cruising, playful river running or descents of spectacular
drops or a mixture of all.
I wish you good water levels, great weather and
companionable paddling groups!
