INTRODUCTION

‘Born To Be A Star’ online singing competition is organized by the Unit Co-curriculum, in collaboration
with the school HIP (Highly Immersive Programme), Parents And Teachers Association , the English
Language Society and the Kinomulok of Josephian. It is designed to find and discover singers among
pupils of district level during the Pandemic COVID-19. The competition opens to all pupils of primary
school from Year 1 until Year 6. It will be divided into two categories. There are category A for level
One and category B for level 2. Pupils are allowed to sing an English song and only one contestant
from each school. Winners of the competition will be selected by professional judging. All submissions
will be done online FB. Since it’s an online singing competition, contestants need only to submit a
video of themselves singing their own or a cover song with music.

OBJECTIVES
To encourage the use of English language among community, teachers and pupils

To instil interest among pupils in activities related to English Language

To increase self-confidence and ability to pronounce words in English

To give the opportunity to be discovered by people through singing talent
