BILTON C OF E JUNIOR SCHOOL

Plantagenet Drive, Rugby, CV 22 6LB 14TH DECEMBER 2018

BILTON C OF E Headlines
JUNIOR SCHOOL
Hello Everyone, Wow this time last year we had two snow days as the weather was so
SPECIAL bad! We are being blessed with fairly mild weather for the season,
POINTS OF hopefully...
INTEREST:
Great atmosphere at the Christmas lunch this week. Staff lent a
Christmas hand to serve the children and the kitchen staff rattled through 350
jumper / non lunches. Can I say a huge thank you to Mrs Webb who planned the
uniform day on lunch with the kitchen staff and our lunchtime staff. I don't say
thank you to her enough. She is absolutely amazing and the smooth
Friday 21st running of BJS would not happen without her.
December
I know we have a good week planned next week for the children; they are all reading
(no donation and doing English activities using a book called the Santa Trap. Written and illustrated
required) by Jonathan Emmett and Poly Bernatene it tells the story of Bradley Bartleby...
'Bradley Bartleby is bad, VERY bad. He’s greedy and naughty and selfish and spoilt --
and Santa Claus knows it. But when beastly Bradley empties his Christmas stocking to
find nothing but a pair of socks, he does quite the baddest thing he has EVER tried to
do. He builds a trap -- a SANTA TRAP! With guillotines, dynamite and a tiger or two,
Santa doesn’t stand a chance. Or does he?

I have also managed to secure a theatre company to come and perform
their version of 'Aladdin' for us on Friday 11th January 2019. We will
be asking for a contribution towards the cost of £2 per child. The PTA
have already agreed to help subsidise the event by giving us £500.
Thanks BJS PTA :-)

We have church visits next Tuesday. Please contact the office if you can
help :-) and don't forget that it’s Christmas jumper day on Friday!
Regards,
Mrs Norton
