4TH NOVEMBER 2016

Headlines

Inspire Hello and welcome back to this second half term of this academic year. The
Challenge weeks just seem to be flying by...
Achieve
This week we had our first meeting of our Parent Partnership
Forum (PPF) where we discuss topical issues relating to the
school. There is a parent representative from each class who
meet with me, Mrs Webb and Mrs Hodgson each term. On Wednesday we
discussed Parking, access to Special Educational needs, how to welcome
parents on site and giving more opportunity for parents to get involved with
their child and his/her learning. We are still looking for a representative for
two Yr 3 classes. If you feel this is something you would like to be involved
in then please let me know.

Next week, in the bulletin, you will get an email address so that you can
contact your class representative if you have any feedback that you would
like to give the school. Alternatively, I am sure you know, you can contact
me at any time to let me know your concerns. I think I have mentioned
before a sign that used to hang in my hairdressers window - 'If you get a
bad haircut tell us...if you get a good one, tell others!'

We also had a great turn out as ever for our Annual Firework event,
organised by the PTA with support from the PTAs and staff of Bawnmore
Infant and Bilton Infant. It was wonderful to see so many of you there to
support the school. Look out for other events that you can come along to,
to help raise money for the PTA. They have generously bought three sets of
new seating for us and also the next stage of the Trim Trail is being astro
turfed so your children don't come home with muddy feet! (Well that's the
plan :-))

This half term's Christian Value that we are focusing on is 'Truthfulness'.
We will be discussing honesty and reading stories from the bible and other
faiths about choosing to tell the truth and standing up for the truth in
situations. Please talk to your children about the value of telling the truth
in all situations especially in relation to friendships.

I hope you enjoy the weekend, watching the carpet of leaves that is slowly
covering the ground is truly beautiful and is making me feel quite
'autumnal'.
