Headlinesthe school week
13th December 2019

PoIninttesreosft Hello All,

After last week we needed a quieter week...with our theatre trip and Christmas lunch not
sure it was quieter but it was great fun!

The Macready theatre was fantastic. 'Santa and the Dragon' was a fabulous show,
engaging the children, parents and staff who came to help. A huge thank you to Fiona
who managed our booking, she and her team looked after us so well.

FTrhoBamaRnnukRkguybgaoCybunhyBduFaraocplohstid.ost Christmas lunch also went like clockwork. Feeding over 350 children a hot meal is never
usually so straight forward. Our cook, Mandy and her team worked so hard, as did our
Play leader team, to make it a memorable occasion.

ChristmtForaDDiordseaauacJiyryseuS.eSm2mao0fnbulptacehnertrduDrsaorfmoy.er Really looking forward to a couple of things next week. The first is our BJS Carol services
on Tuesday 17th December. Year 3 and 5 is at 10am and Year 4 and 6 is at 2pm. All are
welcome. If anyone is able to walk with us, we will be leaving at 9:30m and 1:30pm.
from school walking to St Mark's.

I am also very much looking forward to Friday 20th December when we can all wear our
Christmas jumpers. Children are invited to bring a £1 donation towards our SolarDome
project.

From Rugby Baptist Church

The Chaplain to the Boys and Girls Brigades at Rugby Baptist Church would like to
thank everyone who generously donated toys for the annual Parade and Toy Service
which took place on Sunday.

Each year the Brigades collect toys for the Childrens' Centres in Rugby (Barnardo's)
who distribute them to Families in the local area who cannot afford toys for their
children at Christmas.

The staff at the Children's centre were overwhelmed and very grateful for all the
donations.

Features

This week we are celebrating my good friend and colleague Mrs Webb. We run the
school together and I can rely on her for everything and anything. She is a

champion for both children and staff. Everyone knows they can go and find her if
they need help. She is so organised and makes all our jobs easier by

communicating clearly what is needed to make BJS great! Thank you Mrs Webb.
