Headlinesthe school week
15th November 2019

PoIninttesreosft Dear all,

It has been a really exciting week this week as well as school photographs we
have been celebrating Anti Bullying Week by wearing Odd Socks and having a
special assembly all about the power of using good words to build each other
up. It was a really exciting day with some amusing sock combinations!

DotttoY6y7nped.aim3Ygi0rsehsptcatoo3m!rs7&.t15o45&p8m.645pm It has also been Interfaith Week and this year we have paired up with Blue
Coats Secondary School in Coventry, another International Cross of Nails
School. We are creating art work as a gift for one another amongst other
activities focusing on finding out about different faiths. As you know being
part of the ICON movement is very close to my heart after being given our
cross last June. The movement works on the premise of three strand: the first
is working for peace in our communities, the second is understanding
difference and thirdly reconciliation.

ChLrpoicsutotstmmoinaifnseygvoi!seunrtdsitaory! We are also looking forward to our 'Dotty Disco' tonight raising funds for
Children in Need. Look out for texts regarding parking on the playground on
Friday night. There are also details contained within this bulletin.

You hopefully should have received a letter/email regarding a trip we are
making to the Macready Theatre and also information about our Christmas
performances on the following dates.
Please use our parents evening booking system to book a ticket for one of the
performances. We hope to make a DVD too, which will be a great Christmas
present!

Features

Time to celebrate someone else in our school community. This time it is the turn of the Chair of our PTA,
Annie Smith. Her care and attention is a real asset to the school. Annie and her team raised nearly
£14,000 for school last year which we have put to good use. Annie is super organised and has a real
creative flair. Nothing is ever too much bother and she has some amazing ideas.
Thank you Annie for your continuous support.
