A big 'thanks' goes out to all of Year 4 for their year group assembly this week. Thanks too, to
photos of parents/carers who attended. I found out about organic food, the Foodbank, where our food comes
pupils on from and much much more. After the feedback that came out from parents relating to getting in to
Thursday school more, we will be having events for every year group in the near future so you can see what
morning your children have been up to.
3 November.
Thanks Another big thanks goes out to Mrs Thompson and many members of 6AL who helped staff with
some training this week. Approximately twenty five children stayed behind after school on
Inspire Wednesday evening so Mrs Thompson could lead a demo lesson on 'Mastery' in maths. Children
were engaged in learning about fractions to a very deep level, using diagrams and other equipment
Challenge to help. We are going to be offering some parent workshops about the subject of mastery and the
way we are teaching your children next half term. Please look out for them as they will be invaluable
for you to understand how your children are being taught.
Friday this week sees our 'RE' based THURSDAY 3rd
theme day for the children. We are NOVEMBER
looking at the theme of 'Saints'. Each class
will be looking at the life of a particular
Saint. The Saints chosen range from our
Patron Saints to more recent people such
as Mother Theresa and Maximilian Kolbe.
Please ask your children about their day.
Have a wonderful half term and I look
forward to seeing you at our annual
firework display on Thursday 3rd
November, organised by the PTA's of BJS,
Bawnmore Infants and Bilton Infants.
