BJS Bulletin

Please note the Dear Parents/carers,
school will not be
able to accept any Thank you so much for all who made an appointment for Parent Partnership
old £1 coins after (Parents Evening) events this week. It was great to see so many people here
Friday 13 October finding out how children have transitioned to their new year groups. I have had
lots of positive comments. If you have not managed to make an appointment
2017. with your child's class teacher then please contact the office to do so as we value
the partnership we have with you and your child.

New starters to the school please help us by completing the following survey
about your transition experience. Beginning a new school can sometimes be really
challenging and we hope that you feel we have supported you. The survey will
help us to further improve.

I was invited to observe some Yr7 and Yr8 lessons at Bilton School this week to finish
our transition process with children who left us in July. It was great to see how well
they have settled and the work they are now doing. I also went to Harris School on
Thursday as they had a Prize Giving event with children from across the secondary
phase. Lovely to see our children all grown up and ready for the next set of
challenges. If you have a child/young adult who was with us and want to share
how well they are doing please let us know. As we all know from acorns (BJS),
mighty Oaks grow!

I am off to PGL with Yr5 next week, please pray for good weather! The school is in
Mrs Webb's capable hands.
