Headlinesthe school week
8th November 2019

PoIninttesreosft Hello, and welcome back to the second half of the Autumn Term 2019!
It's going to be a packed one :-)
OdTduSeosNdcoka£vs1yedpD1m2olaetbnyhaeasroteifo:-n)
It all began with our joint Firework event on Thursday which was
DoFtr5tiyd0Npda£Doo2fyvirnseoe1anmc5tmtoetredhybvtfeeooeNrrefyCewhecdihilldillrdbe'esn in attended by children and families from BJS, Bilton Infant School and
Bawnmore Infant School. It is always great to have this joint event
where we can join together as a community.

As the Chairs of Governors and Headteachers of our respective
schools (Bilton C of E Junior School, Bawnmore Community Infant
School and Bilton Infant School) we wanted to advise you that
following a unanimous decision by each of our governing bodies, we
wish to consult on becoming a federation.

The news of the consultation of the federation between the three schools was
also made available on this day. Please see our website for more details of
the consultation where you will find the letter sent out to parents via emailed
also a list of Frequently Asked Questions. www.biltonjuniorschool.co.uk/
federation/4583480136

We now welcome your views on our plans to federate and are
opening a six-week consultation period. The consultation was open
from 12:00 (noon) 7 November 2019 until 12:00 (noon) on Friday 20
December 2019 and all questions and feedback should be sent via email
to [email protected] , for consideration by each
governing body.

Our key drivers for this are: to strengthen and formalise our existing
collaboration, continue to collectively serve and support our local
community in Bilton, by working together. We firmly believe that this
proposed change will only serve to cement our existing strong partnerships
and further develop and benefit our local community; including pupils,
families and staff.

Kind Regards,

Mrs Norton

Wisdom A really poignant thing I saw this week.

Our value for this half term is Something worth bearing in mind!
Wisdom. Mrs N :-)

We will be spending a lot of our assemblies
talking about what it means

to be wise and make wise choices in life.

What is your definition of wisdom?
Have a chat with your children over a meal.

I love this old poem which my
Grandma loved:

'A wise old owl lived in an oak
The more he saw the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Why can't we all be like that wise old bird?'

I have the freedom and choice to be
ambitious for my future

This pom pom was found at our school gates by a couple
of our children. It spreads a very important message
about loneliness and feelings of isolation. We are going to
place it somewhere else and send our pictures on.
Just Straight Talk began supporting people in 2012 with
the aim of encouraging and empowering them to build
lives within the communities where they live.

JST has an excellent record of working with people aged
16-65 preparing them to enhance their lives from housing,
health, well-being to employment, training and
education.
