the school week

PoIinnttesroefst Dear All,
Well... we are now starting to feel a tad summery! Great to see lots of outdoor learning
starting to happen. This is just a little snapshot of things this week, ranging from science
to PE and art.

SchToO6oYNpleI7mDaG.3irHYst03Tcoep!oa&7mr.1455top&m86.45pm I couldn't write my bulletin headlines with out mentioning SATS this week as it is all over
the news. They are the mechanism that all primary schools are part of and no matter what

Email: Mrs Bowler Smith, Miss Cartmel and Mr Cantillon have supported all the children to do
their best and that is all I can ask for. We look forward now to the rest of this summer
[email protected] term, preparing for their play and all the other things they have planned.

I was shown a poem on Monday that actually sums up for me what is really important! We
also then subsequently shared it with all our children too...

SATs don't measure sports, SATs don't measure art,
SATs don't measure music, or the kindness in your heart.
SATs don't see your beauty, SATs don't know your worth,
SATs don't see the reasons you were put upon this earth.
SATs don't see your magic, how you make others smile,

SATs don't time how quickly you can run a mile.
SATs don't hear your laughter, or see you've come this far,

SATs are just a tiny glimpse of who you really are.
So sitting at your table, with a pencil and your test,
Remember SATs aren't who you are, remember you're the best!

We are looking forward to the disco tonight to celebrate the end of a great week :-)
Kind regards,
Mrs Norton

We are very excited that our children are
featured in a special wildlife section of the

Countryman magazine.
When we told the mayor about this news he

said he was "very impressed with the
children’s interest in their subject both
through their letters and also the group who

came to visit him.
He considers the children to be a real credit

to BJS"

We are incredibly proud of our
