Every year I take time to reflect – and select a word for the new
year. For me it isn’t just a word, it is a theme with great meaning.

My word for 2020 is STAND.

There are three uses of this word that helps to convey my thoughts.

1 STAND for… I want to continue to stand for justice, respect and transparency during the
divorce process. I want to stand in the gap for women who are going through divorce by
providing support, solutions and strategies.

2 STAND up… This represents my desire to do more speaking this year. I want to use my
public speaking platform to empower women to either walk bravely through their own
divorce journey OR support a dear friend, colleague or family member going through
divorce. #simplesupport

3 STAND out… I have never liked to follow the status quo, and I want to continue to be a
thought-leader that actively empowers women to design their best lives.

Throughout 2020, we will be rolling out a new retreat format, highlighting our valued
strategic partners and striving to gain the visibility we need to be the most sought-after
resource for women going through divorce. My vision is big – but my heart is even bigger.
I long to continue to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for women who are hurting.

So, as we kick off the new year, let’s STAND together to help empower women
going through divorce!

I am honored to STAND for, STAND up and STAND out for women
who are going through a vulnerable time in their lives. The
Women's Financial Wellness Center is in alignment with my
personal and professional core values. I am grateful to use my
