From the desk of Marla Brown, CEO

My Pro-life friends,

There continues to be hope in the air for life. God has remained committed
to our mission and purpose by continuing to enable our progress. And so
many of the recent political developments are contributing to our
momentum, including the Supreme Court case win of NIFLA vs. Becerra,
involving a challenge to California’s so-called “Reproductive Fact” Act.
The Act, which was written by the pro-abortion lobby, would have required
us to post options for abortion in our clinics.

God is smiling on us this quarter as he has allowed us to again grow our
staff, board and clients. Year to date, 485 women have walked through our
doors and chosen life! We have been able to improve our ultrasound
technology and effectiveness by becoming one of the first pregnancy
resource centers in the state blessed with a 4D ultrasound by the generous contributions of a private donor
and the Knights of Columbus of St. Jude the Apostle church. We choreographed our first Annual Golf
our doors and chosen life! We have been able
tournament at the Manor Golf and Country Club, which was a huge success. I want to extend my sincere
thanks to all the sponsors and players who supported us.

We were once again invited to the State Convention for the Knights of Columbus where they generously
recognized our work and contributions. We were also awarded a grant by the Catholic Foundation of North
GA which we will use to help pay our ultrasound technicians. Now we are ramping up for our largest
fundraising event of the year, “An Evening for Life,” which will be held at the GA Aquarium on September
30, 2018. We anticipate this year’s event will be the best one to date. I hope you will consider joining us as
we ride the waves of change into a new phase of promise and opportunity for PAC. We look forward to
sharing all the wonderful plans God has for our mission on this night.

A recent client stated, “PAC saved my life by being there in my most desperate moments.” This is what you,
our donors, are making possible. Your prayers and contributions are strengthening our cause and our impact.
Thank you for continuing your advocacy for life. In my opinion, there can be no greater purpose on this earth.

Your partner on the journey,

Convention, Savannah GA.

Deidre

Deidre came to PAC for a pregnancy test. She informed us that if she were pregnant, she

would abort. She was in a relationship with a man who was living with his parents, only
working part time and not motivated to pursue full time employment. She was very unsure of
the future of the relationship. In addition, she believed her parents would kick her out of their
home if she told them she were pregnant.

When her test came back positive she became hysterical.
Her boyfriend was there with her and they needed time
alone to process the results. We offered an ultrasound
to Deidre, and her boyfriend came in so he could also
see the developing baby in real time. They cried and
expressed so many emotions during the ultrasound.
It became real for her at that point – she carried life.

Her Advocate talked to them about parenting classes,
Medicaid and WIC. They were also counseled on
adoption, which they were open to exploring. She felt
better when she left the clinic that day.

Deidre came back a week later for a mentoring session,
her boyfriend in tow. She had decided that she wanted
to parent but her boyfriend wasn’t decided – they
had been having trouble communicating and she wanted
a plan. Her Advocate spoke to them about the importance
of communication in the relationship and gave them
some strategies to use. At the end of the session they
were applying for pregnancy Medicaid and he had
promised to begin looking for a full-time job.

Deidre came to parenting classes and her boyfriend
accompanied her a few times. She had finally told her
mother about the pregnancy and her mom was very
supportive in her choice to parent. Her PAC Advocate
continued to give her pep talks throughout the pregnancy
and checked on her often.

As we all know, God works so strongly in people’s lives
that are open to transformation. Unfortunately Deidre’s
boyfriend was not open, fell back on bad habits and
was not supportive through much of her pregnancy.
Deidre however, was inspired by the love and support
she received at PAC, and her own mother, that she has
became a wonderful strong mother to a beautiful little boy, Emory.

Please pray for Deidre and Emory –
and all families that Deidre and Emory represent!

The Knights of Columbus of St. Jude Catholic
Church in Sandy Springs, GA have blessed PAC
with the highest quality 4D ultrasound technology
available today. This is the first ultrasound
machine of its kind placed in a pregnancy
resource clinic in the state of GA.

Members of St. Jude Knights of Columbus,
PAC board, staff and Monsignor Joe Corbett
gather outside Roswell clinic to celebrate the
dedication of the 4D ultrasound machine. This
gift was made possible of the efforts of the
Knights of Columbus and a private donor,
Sam Chiarella. Thank you all!
