Let's swing-in to old nineties, the era of India Making. Our very first step
when in 1950, two visionaries from the large family of Traditional Halwais
or known as Food Processors) from the famous city of Bikaner (in
Rajasthan, India) wished to explore business opportunities beyond
Rajasthan, its traditional stronghold and migrated to New Delhi, capital of
India. The duo just didn't came, they brought with them a treasure of
traditional recipes perfected by their forefathers, exotic ingredients and
experience in the art of making sweets and namkeens. They setted-up
small sweetshop in the historic Chandni Chowk and their delicacies like
Bikaneri Bhujia and Rasogollas became so famous in Delhi that people of
New Delhi fell in love with their hand- made traditional yummies and
coined them as BIKANERVALA, this is how the name derived.

Haldiram's began as a tiny shop in Bikaner, the land as famed for
its savories as for its leather faced pipe players and fierce warriors.
By 1982, Haldiram's had set up shop in Delhi and the capital begun
to stop by and take note of the savories and sweets. It was word of
mouth that grew the business manifold over the next decade till
Haldiram's stood as a food outlet that was synonymous with taste,
hygiene and innovation.

Haldiram's is a major Indian sweets and snacks manufacturer based in Nagpur,
Maharashtra, India. The company has manufacturing plants in Nagpur, New Delhi,
Kolkata, Bikaner. Haldiram's has its own retail chain stores and a range of
restaurants in Nagpur, Kolkata, Patna, and Delhi. In contemporary times, Haldiram's
products are exported to several countries worldwide, including Sri Lanka, United
Kingdom, United States, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand,
Japan, Thailand, Australia and others. Haldiram's was founded in 1937 by Ganga
Bhisen Agrawal as a retail sweets and namkeen shop in Bikaner, Rajasthan. In
expansion, the company's first manufacturing plant was located in Calcutta. In 1970
a larger manufacturing plant was established in Nagpur. Carrefour, Spinney's &
Somerfield. It started exporting to US in 1993.
