Evaluation of Learning Plan
September - December
Bobby has made great progress this term and
will participate in the daily routine of lunch. He
is increasingly engaged with the environment
and continues to use the resources with great
imagination, creativity and resourcefulness.
Bobby will approach adults for help and will ask
“What’s this?” To label unfamiliar items, this has
increased his vocabulary and decreased his
frustration.

Bobby is becoming
increasingly tolerant and
aware of taking turns
with his peers during
focused sessions in the
Cosy Cove with the
support of a transitional
object and the use of the
‘first/then’ approach to
engage in the task.
Bundle 3:
Bobby is learning to play as part of a group and let others
join in.
- March
Bobby worked alongside a
peer and an adult on a
shared task. He was
excited to build the
landmarks in the image.
January
Bobby took turns with a peer during a
focused activity. He demonstrated a good
understanding of the process of waiting
and taking turns in this context and
remained on task until it was complete.
Bundle 3:
Bobby is learning to play as part of a group and let others
join in.
- March
Bobby worked in
collaboration with other
children to build a range of
landmark structures. The
others followed his lead and
helped to get him resources
and add to the construction,
Bobby accepted this well and
displayed enjoyment during
the interaction and process.
January
Bobby enjoyed sharing a story with Mrs
Wales, he pointed at images and
illustrations he was unfamiliar with and
asks “what’s that?” He repeated and used
the words given as the story progressed.
Bundle 8:
Bobby is learning to use new words and ask what unfamiliar
words mean.
- March
Bobby explored the painting materials on
offer. He commented on his play and was
particularly interested in the changes
that occurred when he mixed coloured
together. He used words like mix, change,
colour, paint that were provided by an
adult to describe his experience.
Bobby used a range of
descriptive language
when exploring the
snow! He used
vocabulary provided to
describe his experiences,
this included melting,
frozen, icy, hail.
Bundle 8:
Bobby is learning to use new words and ask what unfamiliar
words mean.
Bobby has shown an increased
interest in imaginative play
and the social language of
using peoples names. He has
been using this in his
interactions “Baby Betsy have
orange” “Bobby eat banana”,
“Mrs Carruthers eat apple”.
He is also including real life
experiences in his play by
making a play dough birthday
cake and singing ‘Happy
Birthday’.
January - March
January
Bobby has been
experimenting with
capacity and has been
filling and emptying
various containers with
sand. Bobby used the

“bigger”, “heavy” when
playing along with an
adult.
Bundle 6:
Bobby is learning to use simple measure language to describe
length/weight/capacity.
- March
Bobby interest in
landmarks provides
