SECTION C: OBJECTIVES
NOTE: Objectives of the project must relate to overall objectives of the course (as given
in the course outline).
The goal of this project is to create a simple and safe interface that keeps a person engaged
through the process of searching for an object as well as make them practice problem
solving in a tangible way.
The objectives are:
 To reduce stress through having fun in scavenging activities
 To cultivate awareness and focus about effective online activities
 To develop an interest in the participants minds towards brain health games

SECTION D: INTRODUCTION
NOTE: Give a brief introduction about the project (not more than one page).

We plan to host an online event ‘Scavenger Hunt’ during this extraordinary time. Virtual
scavenger hunts is a remote game where players scramble to find items or fulfill challenges
before time runs out. This online event will be held via Microsoft Teams.
The purpose of this event is to create a simple and safe interface that keeps a person
engaged. In addition it can help participants to release their stress and have fun through the
event. The event aims at participants’ problem solving skills as well as time management
skills. The idea of this event is quite simple where a list of items will be given to all the
participants. This event will be conducted in 5 rounds. In each round Participants need to
find all the items in the given list within a stipulated time. Those who were able to produce
all or most of the items in the given period will be the winner.

Round 1 - all participants - 2 min
Round 2 - 20 participants - 3 min
Round 3 - 15 participants - 4 min
Round 4 - 10 participants - 5 min
Round 5 - 5 participants - 10 min

Participants should be able to join the provided link to register themselves. A group will
be created for the participants to keep updating all the details regarding the event. They
need to scan QR code in advertisement posters to know more about the rules and
regulations. They need to upload a photo collage of all the items collected in the link that
will be provided on that day. The evaluation is based on the number of items and also time
period. Winner will receive RM 100 in cash while RM50 for first runner up and RM30
for second runner up.Winner will be announced on that day itself through Microsoft
teams.

SECTION F: DETAILS OF PROJECT EXECUSION

On 9th April, the event will be held as a one day event The participants were required to
register their name before 5th April. The execution will be divided into 3 Phases and will
be further discussed in the execution part as below:

 To set up virtual meet for the event.
 Ensure all the participants have registered prior to event.
 To brief rules and regulations to the participants.
 To ensure participants produce the proof via photo in stipulated time.
 Ensure all the participants follows the rules and regulation.

Phase III – Event Completion
 Annalise the participant’s submission.

 Finalize the winners.

 Prize giving ceremony.

 To conduct post mortem to identify the Strength, Weaknesses and Sustain points

of the events.

Target Participants: UNITAR students
This event is a fun-filled event to entertain the participants. This event was meant to
entertain and as a form of stress buster for the participants. This initiative is done to
strengthen the soft skill of students as well as shape them to be more active, creative and
innovative. Therefore, the event would be an opportunity for them to engage with other
participants and also to strengthen the esprit de corps amongst them.

Expected number of Audience/ Participants: The expected number of participants will
be 30 people. We will still allow extra individuals to join this event if we have more than
10 participants.. Minimum participants are 30 people. More participants will be gladly
welcomed to join in this event too.

Key Messages
To cultivate the interest and creativity in the scavenger hunt among teenagers. In this way,
the participants can discover the fun way to be active and creative at the same time develop
the problem solving skills.

Marketing Strategy:
Our team has decided to create an organized online poster that includes basic information
on the ‘Virtual Scavenger Hunt’ event to invite interested participants. The basic
information that will be included,

Event Planning Timeline:
The event will be kept on track with a detailed event planning timeline from the beginning
till the end of the project which is included in the tentative.

The team will have pre pre-event 2 days before to ensure everything runs smoothly on the
execution

Rules and Regulations:
All items must be found on the premises; no leaving your location.
1. Each item can only be used once to fulfill an entry.
2. All photos or videos must be taken by the players—no screenshots, please!
3. Send all photos at once to avoid overwhelming the host with messages.(Photo Collage)

a. Round 1 -3 selfie with all the items collected
b. Round 4 -Photo collage of selfies
c. Round 5 - Online challenge
4. Any responses submitted after the time frame are ineligible.
5. Stay safe. At no point will the game require players to perform challenges that are
dangerous or break the law.
6. The participants required to on their camera till the end
7. All players must be touching their computer before each round begins. This makes for
a fair playing field. For example, if a player is standing far from the webcam, they
could reach an item faster than the others.
8. The host display the list and starts the preset countdown.
9. The players must rush to find the item in their premises before the timer runs out.
10. Once the countdown ends, all players must come back to the starting position,
irrespective of if they found the item or not.
11. Winner will be decided based on number of items gathered within the time given.
12. Photos submitted should not contain any violated themes
