Dear volunteer:

As we lead the Texas Society of CPAs into its second century, we have an extraordinary opportunity
to shape the future of our profession. Working together at the state and chapter levels, we can achieve great things.

We stand tall because of the work of those who came before us during the first hundred years.
We are grateful to them for their tireless efforts to elevate the standards and stature of CPAs in Texas.
Never content to rest on what has been done, we are setting our sights high.

During this year together, we will focus on increasing the number of accounting graduates who sit for
the CPA exam. The demand for CPAs continues to grow and we want to be proactive in ensuring that there
will be a good supply of qualified accountants well into the future. I have a lot of hope and faith in the upcoming
generation, and I believe that they will carry us forward.

Our strategic plan is solid and will guide our efforts, organized under the five areas described on the next page.

Our profession is one of continuous learning. We will continue to stay on the cutting edge of professional education
for CPAs. Technology is changing at warp speed. Accounting rules are constantly being revised. Our very licenses
are constantly impacted by decisions in Austin. Thanks to our volunteers who are hard at work in these areas,
we can do our jobs with confidence, knowing that our state CPA society is looking out for us.
