Kingsland boasts numerous spots to catch live music from locals and the growing scene
of Hill Country musicians. Boat Town Burger Bar, The Club Car Bar, Wakepoint LBJ and
The Place Downtown provide nighttime musical options.

Kingsland’s biggest event each year, AquaBoom, is one of the oldest continuously celebrated
July Fourth celebrations in Texas. The weeklong celebration includes three parades,
pageants, a street dance, craft fair, duck race, and, of course, a huge fireworks show.

Kingsland is home to The Antlers Hotel, a historic Victorian-style resort featuring a Queen
Anne Style cottage that served as the movie set for 1974’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and
is now the home of Grand Central Café. The Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber, building on that
theme, has created a horror-themed event to attract visitors to town each Fall.

On the Llano River just upstream from Kingsland, “The Slab” is a gathering point with pools
of refreshing, shallow water and lots of sand. It’s popular for wading, swimming with kids or
just hanging out.

LBJ Chamber of Commerce introduced a new STUFF
event Halloween in 2019.

“THE NIGHTMARE CORRIDOR”.

The Nightmare Corridor was a haunted house
presented by the Carvajal Group and the Chamber.
The experience was provided by the Llano High
School Yellow Jacket Theater Company, inspired
and based on a story written by C. Dennis Moore.
