SHUT UP” I threw my phone away it was annoying
I couldn’t handle it. “ wake up lazy head, and why
the hell is your phone on the floor?” My mom
picks my phone , puts it beside me and then she
pulls the sheets off of me. “ HEY”. “ Don’t make
me drag you out”. “Ok mom I’m up”. ” good”. I
look at her eyes before she leaves my room, when
i looked at her eyes, it was like they were telling
somet about her, describing her, sad and worried,
I shook my head to clear my thought. ” are you
ok”. “yeah“ I forced a smile on my face. That’s
weird, it’s probably because I just woke up. I
changed and went down stairs . ” Boys stop
playing with the food and finish quickly your
going to be late”. I took a sit beside mom “ hey,
slow down you two” I said as I watched them force
the pancakes into their mouths. when I finished
my plate I placed in the sink, and then went back
to it and decided to wash all the dishes . “ Thank
you sweetheart, you didn’t have to do it” She said
with small smile. “ it’s fine I’m done”. I took my
bag and headed to school. I walk into the school
and make my way to the English class. I place my
bag beside me as I sit next to the window at the
very back so no one bothers me. I wasn’t late for
the first time, I watched as people started to come
in pretty fast. Then after a few minutes the teacher
came, I wasn’t looking at him I was busy drawing

random stuff. “ raven, did you do your
homework ?” He asked. man why did he ask me
first? .” Yes i did “ That’s when I looked at his eyes,
it felt like they were talking to me, his daughter is
in the hospital, how did I know that?, he didn’t
mention anything about it, did I just, no it’s
impossible. After what seemed like forever , school
was finally over, I took my stuff and headed back
home. What is wrong with me today? how did I
see all of that? Know what they thought? I was just
looking at them. Wait what if I have a super power
thing that makes me see throw people, let me try
again. I closed my eyes and then opened them, I
looked at mom again, this time I saw why she was
upset and worried, she got fired from her work,
and now she works two different jobs, but still she
doesn’t earn that much from them, shes worried
about the bank taking the house at the end of the
month. I looked away, and felt warm tears falling ,
I quickly wipe them with my sleeve before she
notice it. Poor mom she kept all this to her self,
she must be tired. I grab my bag and go to the
door. “ rav where are you going”. “I’m going to
Kate “. “ ok don’t be late”. I wasn’t going to go to
Kate, I mean we were close but for some reason
she stoped talking to me that happened after she
started hangMing out with Anna and her friends.
Anyways, I was going to search for a job, I have to
help mom in anyway , I can’t leave her like this

especially after what I saw. Her beautiful blue eyes
told me more then what she shows, how she felt,
what she was thinking about, what made her
worried or upset. I don’t know how this happened
to me, but what ever happened it happened for a
reaso, I have to use it for good. I saw coffee shop
that wanted a waiter’s, perfect. “ hi, I came for
the..”.” your hired”. Wow that was fast.

1month later

Its been a month, and I still can see people
thoughts just by looking at their eyes. Well who
ever said that the eyes don lie wasn’t joking, it was
true. I worked double shifts just to make sure I
have enough money for mom, and yes I told her,
she was happy she even cried, happy tears, and for
my English teacher, i was trying to be a good
student hoping that he wo trust me and open up a
bit , it took time but he did, he talked about it and
I tried my best to help. I also looked into kates
eyes, she dis hate me , she was forced into this by
Anna of course, we spoke last week and
everything went back to norma. I learned a lot
from this, it changed me to the better, i felt special,
I was an ordinary girl who didn’t know what her
mom was going throug, nor what happened to my
best friend. I wish I could do more, I will do my
best, because I believe I’m gifted. After I was done
with my work I headed back home. I went upstairs,

fell in bed without changing my cloth I was
extremely tired I couldn’t resist my eyes it was
shut down. Next day I woke up, I went to moms
room she was getting ready to go out, I looked at
her eyes but I couldn’t see anything , huh is that it.
“ raven, are you ok? Why are you staring at me?”.
“ I’m sorry, I felt like I didn’t see from long time”.
“ oh dear you must be exhausted from working ,
you know you don’t have to work like this were
financially doing great, we have more then
enough money “. That’s it now it’s gone, man I
wanted to see mrs mark, I wounded what makes
him so moody or mrs Rolf his always angry or miss
Amy , she doesn’t like me at all, god I actually
didn’t see through a lot of people, man Im so
dumb and I thought it would stay for ever, and I
thought I was a superhero or something it only
lasted for one month.
