Overview of Writing Test Tasks
Parts 1 and 2 are compulsory and there is no choice of question. In part 3,
candidates have a choice and there are three different tasks to choose from.
Part 1 (Compulsory task) A2 Level
Candidates have to write an email to a friend in about 80 words
Part 2 (Compulsory task) B1 Level
Candidates have to write an essay in about 150 words
Part 3 (Candidates have a choice of task) B2 Level
This part has three questions or tasks to choose from. The tasks
types may include an article, a review, a report or a story and
candidates have to choose one. They have to write about 250 words.

SPEAKING MARKING CRITERIA
1. The three analytical criteria (Assessor) are:

❑ Vocabulary (Band 1-6)
❑ Communicative Competence (Band 1-6)
2. The interlocutor uses the Overall Spoken Performance scale
(Band 1-6)
3. The level of the test is CEFR B1 to B2, highest results at C1
LISTENING (1119/4)
- 4 parts (compulsory)
- Each audio will be repeated twice.
Part 1 (monologue/announcement):

Part 2: (longer audio):
❑ 8 MCQ questions (A-B-C)
Part 3 (matching)
❑ Match the speaker with the ideas
❑ 7 choices: 5 correct answers + 2 distractors
Part 4 (gapped-fill)
❑ 10 blanks with word/s.
