ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Torsten Alexander Lange is founder and director of the renowned Reiki
Academy London where he teaches students from all over the world.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Torsten had a brief stint studying Lutheran
theology, then went on to obtain a degree in Political Sciences and, in his 20s,
became involved in local politics. The business he set up to pay for his time
at university eventually took over, and he moved to London and became an
internationally successful entrepreneur and jewellery designer. Ten years on,
he was made bankrupt and lost everything.

After years of struggling, the discovery of Reiki brought long–needed
change – literally overnight. Torsten slowly began to realize that without the

difficult years before, he would not have found the spiritual path.
Today, he dedicates his time to researching Reiki. He focuses on trying to

uncover and understand the spiritual depth of the original system of Reiki,
and how to apply these techniques and principles to modern everyday life.
Torsten uses Reiki daily for himself, and feels privileged to be able to share
the first–hand experiences of hundreds of students.

He blogs about Reiki and offers online videos and tutorials.
