INTRODUCTION Storytelling is an effective teaching and learning activity to help improve the standard of English among pupils. The interactive art of storytelling involves revealing the details of a story while provoking the imagination of the audience. Stories are told as a means of entertainment, cultural preservation or instilling moral values. OBJECTIVES • To enhance pupils’ confidence in using English. • To give pupils the opportunity to use English in an interesting, authentic and creative manner. • To enhance and improve listening and speaking skills. • To instill pupils’ interest in reading and writing in English.
