The little baseball that could

By: Jackson Lobland

Part 1

There once was at little baseball that was being thrown all day,
but then he was thrown it was right down the middle and the
batter missed and he was sad and didn't want to be a baseball
anymore. H e had thought he was never gonna be a homerun ball.
It was the end of the game and all of his little friends had been
homerun balls and he was the only one that wasn’t a homerun ball.

Part 2

It was the next day and the little baseball didn’t want to go to the
baseball game because he knew he wasn’t going to be a homerun
ball. H e had been sad ever since the last game and he will not go
to the game because of it. H e decided to go to the game and he was
the ball that was going to be the starting baseball and the first
pitch SMACK !!! The ball was going and going and foul.

Part 3

H e was so happy because he thought he had went over for a
homerun. H e was caught by one of the little fans and the little boy
took the little baseball home and put it in a glass case and left it in
their. When the little baseball realized that he was gonna be their
forever he knew what he had to do. H e had to get out of that
glass case. So he was trying to roll back and forth til he could fall
out of the case.

Part 4

H e was really trying to get out of the case and all of a sudden he
fell out of the case and he fell to the floor and he started rolling
and didn’t stop til he was at the baseball field.

Part 5

When he got the field all he wanted to do was get in the game and
be a homerun ball and he managed to get in the ballpark and he
got into the the home team's dugout. Then just like that one of his
little friends was a homerun ball.

Part 6

All of a sudden he was in the game and the first pitch was right
down the middle and the batter didn’t swing next pitch was right
down the middle and the batter didn't swing again. The next pitch
was a curveball and the batter swung right under it strikeout.

Part 7

The pitcher ended the game with a strikeout on the last batter.
The ball wasn't sad anymore he was happy he was out of the glass
case and he loved being pitched in games even if that meant he
wasn't a homerun ball.

Part 8

It was the next game and the ball wasn’t going to be the starting
ball for the game but he knew he'd be in before the end of the
game. So he waited and waited and waited until the starting ball
was it out of the park.

Part 9

H e knew he was up next and he was ready to finally become a
homerun ball. The first pitch was right down the middle and the
batter missed the ball. The next pitch was a curveball right across
the plate and then the next pitch was a knuckle curve and the
batter swung for strike three and there was only one more batter
until the game was over.

Part 10

The next batter up was the smallest guy on the team and hadn’t
hit a homerun all year. So the first pitch right down the middle
and he fouled it off the next pitch was right down the middle and
he fouled it off and the last pitch he had hung a curveball and he
had hitten the ball so hard it was going, and going and it had gone
over and the little baseball was finally a homerun ball.
