The Kisozi Farm was acquired from Kisozi ranchers in 1990 with the objective of meeting the army’s meat requirements and to supply quality breeding bulls to Ugandan farmers. It is located 90 miles southwest of Kampala. The Kyankwanzi farm is located next to National Leadership Institute (NALI) Kyankwanzi. Both farms have herds of cattle consisting of mainly Borans and Boran/Brahman crosses. NEC Farm Katonga has 100 acres of Chrolis Gayana to supplement the naturally growing pastures especially during the dry spells.
