HYBRID FIXATION KITS

When components of a traditional linear ESF and circular ESF
frames are combined they are considered a Hybrid Frame.
These hybrid frames are practical alternatives to transarticular
ESF frames for stabilisation of very small fracture fragments.
In addition, hybrid frames can be alternatives to complete
circular ESF frames for selected growth deformities.

The SK™ Hybrid Starter Kit contains a large variety of components to allow construction of advanced hybrid frames
or multiple hybrid frames. Some items within the starter kit can be interchanged with others from the linear or
circular range dependent on a clinics or surgeons particular cases and needs - Please contact us to discuss this.

In cases with patella luxation in addition to cranial cruciate rupture it is possible to move the tibial tubercle either laterally or medially to
help re-align the quadriceps mechanism. This is achieved by adding TTA Spacers either to the cranial screw or the caudal cage screw.

TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy)

TPLO is used to stablise the stifle joint after ruptures of the cranial
cruciate ligament. The cruciate ligament prevents forward and back-
wards movement of the femur on the tibia bone.

This surgery involves creating a curved osteotomy in the top of the
tibia and then rotation of the plateau segment, this is done until the
previous slope in the bone is no longer present. The bone is
subsequently fixed in this new position using
a bone plate and screws.

The Advantage TPLO saw is manufactured by a California manufacturer that used to produce the Hall sternum saw. The saw utilises the
Hall pattern hose connector which is the same as most other Hall tools including our high speed drill and the Hall Surgairtome. The saw

has the industry fitting triangular hub assembly which oscillates at
a range of 6 degrees. Please also see our range of cressential
cutting blades with triangular fitting suitable for this saw and
many other TPLO saws in the market.

ELECTROSURGERY

The VetSEAL is an advanced electrosurgery generator from the human market with a fully autoclavable bipolar
thermo fusion hand piece for sealing vessels up to 7mm. Vessels are permanently sealed without leaving any foreign
material, such as sutures, in the body. A seal is achieved when bipolar current is passed through the tissue, causing
