Dream Cruise

by Lim Chui Ling, Agency Planning & Support
On the 18th to 21st August 2019, 145 agents had a
wonderful opportunity to fulfil their dreams of sailing on
the Dream Cruise. The arrival of the delegates were
graced with inspiring speeches by Mr Tai Chee Ming,
Head of Sales and Mr Malaiyarasan S/O Subramaniam,
founder of Asia Ace Agency Sdn Bhd. In both their
speeches, they emphasized on the importance of
the Tokio Marine Challenge Cup Contest (TMCC) for
TMLM.
A team building session was held on the cruise’s
basketball court the day after. Delegates had to
work together in stringent conditions to achieve
their objectives in order to win the championship.
Unyielding, unfazed, and by sheer willpower, 6 of
these agents displayed outstanding teamwork and
managed to seize this championship to end the day.
The Dream Cruise were packed with a number of
activities, ranging from spectacular performances
to indoor water activities for all to enjoy. Arrays of
international culinary were provided to delegates who
were all pleased with the gastronomical experience
they were able to relish from this trip.
On top of that, delegates also visited Penang and
Phuket as part of the cruise itinerary. It was indeed
a rewarding experience for the delegates as they
were able to visit 3 countries (Singapore, Malaysia
and Thailand) in such a short period of time and
from just one contest. We, from Agency Planning &
Support hope that all agents had thoroughly enjoyed
this eventful trip and strive to greater heights in the
years to come.

A total of 321 participants flew in on 8 flights to the
“City of Historical Beauty” of Vietnam, Da Nang from
25 September 2019 to 2 October 2019.
The 4D3N tour to the Vietnam’s fourth largest city
started off with a Da Nang city tour. Delegates
immersed with the local landmarks of the city such as
the city’s most iconic symbols, the Dragon Bridge that
breathed flames and gushed water with a change of
colours every few minutes during the night. The city
also offered its famous white sandy beach My Khe
which is not far from the largest Pagoda. The locals
believe the Linh Ung Pagoda that features a 67-meter
tall Lady Buddha statue provides protection to the
fishermen who venture out into rough seas.
During the trip, all our participants had the opportunity
to visit the longest and highest non-stop cable car at
Bana Hill. This resort is famous for its cobblestone
French Village with buildings that look like medieval
castles surrounded by many flower gardens and the
world famous Golden Bridge which exhibits a pair of
giant hands lifting the bridge along the mountainside.
The bridge offers a breath-taking panoramic view of the
valley below Trường Sơn Mountains.

by Lim Chui Ling, Agency Planning & Support
As the year 2020 approached, we celebrated one of
the highest awardee recognitions on stage, The 2020
Agency Business Kick-Off Celebration Party. The event
was held by the beach at Forest City International
Resort, Johore. Being the first time Tokio Marine Life
has held an event by the beach, it certainly brought the
“wow” factor and a lighter mood to the dinner that saw
560 participating agency members.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr
Yoshiaki Okabe kick-started the event
with his opening speech followed by
an ice breaking session by DJ Yen.
The event itself celebrated the hard
work of the agency force for the Tokio
Marine Challenge Cup (TMCC) contest.
Award recognitions for the Top 10 Most
Cases Producer, Top Introducer and Direct Recruiter,
alongside the Branch Overall Champion awards was
given out during the night.
The event ended with DJ Yen, a local famous DJ to
spin off 2019. The crowd not only packed the dance
floor but they also participate in the stage games. The
participants used their best skills and performances to
win prizes.
Overall, it was a great turn out for both the day and night
celebration party of the 2020 Agency Business Kick-Off.

2019 TMLM MDRT FINAL SPRINT
by Heidi Chong
On Oct 22, TMLM had an inspiring and heartfelt conference by Dr. Sanjay
Tolani on “ How to Hit 50% of Your Target in the Last 60 days of 2019” as the
final sprint for our 42 life insurance advisors – 2 MDRT (Million Dollar Round
Table) Qualifiers and 40 MDRT Aspirants to deliver another ground-breaking
performance for 2019.
Dr. Sanjay shared his own unique sets of Final Sprint Strategies, a powerful
step by step method he personally applied in the last 60 days of the year to
achieve his sales target. He is a 17-year member of the MDRT– The Premier
Association of Financial Professionals, with 2 Court of the Table (COT), 13
Top of the Table (TOT) honours and 5 years Platinum Dragon. In 2003, he
became the youngest member at the age of 19, and qualified as the Youngest
Life Member in 2012 at the age of 28. In Sept 2019, he successfully attained
100x MDRT production and his secret to success lies in proper final sprint
strategies. At the end of the conference, participants adjourned to a “Get-
Together” dinner in the fabulous Royale Chulan Hotel, The Curve.
The dinner was kicked-off by Mr. Liew Kim Wah, Chief Agency Officer. In his
opening remark, he believed that 2019 has proven to be an exciting year
for Tokio Marine Life Malaysia in remaining committed to its 2019 goals of
producing 40 MDRT qualifiers. This event played an important role to inspire
the attendees to aim towards qualifying as a MDRT, and to add this prestigious
international recognition to their achievements.
Ms Eunice Loo Lqi Kim and Thomas Cheow Nam Fee were invited to speak
at the “Get-Together” dinner, with their topics of “It is a Must to be MDRT”
and “How I Achieved My MDRT”. Sales ideas, strategies and concepts were
shared to help attendees unlock their potential to meet accelerated growth
as a MDRT. The attendees gained valuable experience which helped them to
continuously grow by participating in a peer meetup and roundtable discussion
at the dinner.
