A Message From the President

We invite you to join us for our 31st annual ALERT Annual Training Symposium and Conference in Charlotte, North
Carolina. The one of its kind Conference attracts law enforcement emergency vehicle operation trainers from
agencies from across North America.

You will be able to engage with an extensive network of law enforcement leaders, decision-makers, and training
experts. Response trainers from mid-size to large police departments, sheriff’s offices, state and federal training
academies, state highway patrol, and state police from all over the country and Canada attend.

Line of duty deaths and serious injuries continue to occur at alarming rates due to the operation of a police vehicle.
ALERT’s mission is to help reduce that statistic!

ALERT’s mission statement is to provide assistance to states in establishing effective and defensible standards for
training law enforcement officers in the field of emergency vehicle operations. Dedicated to the encouragement
and correlation of research and development, ALERT is now composed of Training Commanders and EVO
Instructors from law enforcement agencies from all fifty states, as well as ten Canadian Provinces.

Our attendees are looking for products and ideas that will address and improve training and operations and
improve officer safety in relation to emergency vehicle operations. They are also looking for the latest in vehicle
technology and the opportunity to personally experience new equipment and receive information about the
newest business-enhancing products and technologies from companies in the exhibit area of the conference site
and at the driving facilities.
