What is Aspire?
Aspire is the Sivantos customer rewards program. Created with input from our
customers and our years of experience, we have developed an industry leading
rewards program designed to help make your practice more competitive and
profitable.
By offering incremental benefits and flexible rewards that can be used to fund nearly
any business related expense, Aspire will help you to create a unique offering for your
patients while reducing your costs and increasing revenue.
This guide will lead you through each element of the Aspire program and how it
rewards you for your purchases from Sivantos.

How do I qualify to become an Aspire member?
You will automatically qualify as an Aspire member based on your purchase history
with Sivantos. All customer accounts are analyzed annually in October to determine if
they qualify for the Aspire program.
What determines my Aspire Reward level?
Your reward level is determined by your total qualified purchases. Qualified purchases
are net of discounts and returns and include: hearing aid purchases, accessories,
earmolds, hearing protection, equipment, clinic supplies and batteries. Repairs and
some third party pay purchases (RAMQ) are excluded from qualification. Your total
qualified purchases in the previous year are used to determine the rewards level for
the coming year. Purchase history of less than one fiscal year will be annualized to
determine your rewards level, and your rewards will be pro-rated accordingly.
What is a base reward?
Base rewards are the reward dollars determined by your Aspire reward level and are
deposited into your Aspire account in October of each year. Base rewards can be used
for nearly any business related expense. Base rewards become fully vested at the end
of the fiscal year provided the Aspire member achieves at least 75% of the annual
qualification requirement in that year.
What is a quarterly bonus?
Quarterly bonuses are earned when an Aspire member achieves at least 25% of the
purchase qualifications associated with the member’s Aspire level in a fiscal quarter.
The quarterly bonus will be deposited into the member’s Aspire account at the
beginning of the following quarter: January, April, July, October. A quarterly bonus is
fully vested when it is deposited into a member’s account.
One-time support to increase your Aspire level.
A one-time deposit of rewards dollars will be made if a new rewards level is reached
from one year to the next year. The one-time support reward is fully vested when it is
deposited into a member’s account.
What is vesting?
Vesting refers to the ownership of your Aspire rewards dollars. Base rewards are
deposited in a lump sum into your Aspire account annually in October and, at the time
of the deposit, the rewards dollars are unvested as they are based on an estimation of
purchases to come at a level that is consistent with the previous year. If the estimated
qualifying purchases are achieved by the end of September, the reward dollars will
become fully vested. Should less than 75% of the annual qualification requirement
be achieved, your rewards level will be lowered to the achieved reward level, and you
may be invoiced for the unvested base rewards representing the difference in rewards
level.
Note: Quarterly Bonuses and the one-time support to increase your Aspire level from the
previous year are fully vested immediately upon deposit into your Aspire account.
When will I receive my rewards dollars?
Our fiscal year is October 1st to September 30th. Your Aspire account will auto-renew
each year in October and your base rewards will be deposited into your account in a
lump sum. Although your base rewards are not vested and are based on an estimated
annual purchase trend, you will have access to all of your funds immediately in order
to support the growth and development of your business in the coming year. After
achieving your annual qualification requirement in September, your rewards dollars
will be vested.
Redeeming rewards - what can be redeemed and
what is excluded?
Reward dollars can be redeemed by submitting business related expense receipts. The
before-tax amount will be reimbursed to the business via Electronic Funds Transfer
(EFT) or as a credit on your monthly Sivantos statement.
Hearing aid purchases cannot be redeemed with Aspire rewards dollars. All other
business related expenses are eligible from Aspire rewards.
Examples of eligible expenses include:

How can I check my Aspire account balance?
As an Aspire member, you will receive quarterly account statements. Your statement
will include your opening account balance, deposits of vested and unvested rewards
and any redemptions made during the quarter.
What happens to unused funds?
Unused funds will be carried over for use in the future. However, unused rewards
expire after two years and we reserve the right to cancel vested and unvested rewards
on dormant accounts after six months of dormancy.

Battery rebate program
An Aspire battery rebate is earned on each purchase of batteries. The rebate amount
varies by your Aspire reward level and is deposited every September into your Aspire
account based on the value of your battery purchases in the preceding year.

Quarterly promotions
Quarterly promotions are exclusive promotions available to all Aspire members. A new
promotion will be made available at the beginning of each quarter and will run for
the full quarter. The value of our quarterly promotions is reflected on each applicable
invoice. Volume discounts will remain in place and apply to the adjusted invoice price.
Shipping, warranties, loss and damage:
All Aspire members will enjoy an extended three year warranty on hearing aids.
Shipping costs and loss and damage coverage varies by your Aspire level as follows:
ENTRY BRONZE Entry and Bronze level members receive two
year loss and damage coverage with a 50%
deductible.
SILVER Silver level members receive three year loss and
damage coverage with a 50% deductible. Free
shipping is available to Silver level members.
GOLD PLATINUM Gold and Platinum level members receive
three year loss and damage coverage with no
deductible. Free shipping is available to Gold
and Platinum level members.

Web Locator Tool
All Aspire members will have their clinic locations listed on our web locator tool. Our
web locator tool can be found at www.bestsound-technology.ca.
The tool allows for the listing of your GPS co-ordinates, street address, telephone
number, website and email address for each of your clinic locations.
Individual Pension Plan (IPP)
An Individual Pension Plan (IPP) is a defined benefit pension plan established by an
incorporated company typically for one individual. An IPP enables your business to
make tax-deductible contributions that are higher than the maximum permitted for
Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) and enhance your retirement income.
You may use your Aspire funds to finance your business’ contributions to your IPP
and is one of the few tax-free ways to redeem your Aspire funds. Speak with your

mySiemens on-line ordering
Our new and improved mySiemens online ordering portal is continually being updated
for new products and optimized for mobile usage as well as any new internet
browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari). Online ordering is quick and convenient.
Customized graphic design support
Our marketing team is growing! New to our marketing department is a dedicated
graphic design specialist exclusive to Aspire members, who is available to support
your advertising needs. We offer fully customizable design services and templates for
a variety of mediums.
Health Spending Account *
The Aspire Health Spending Account (HSA) is a great way to pay for healthcare costs
such as dental, vision, and prescription drugs for you, your employees and your
dependants. The Aspire HSA works just like a bank account. Money deposited into
your HSA from your Aspire rewards can be used for a variety of personal health care
expenses. HSA accounts are one of the few tax-free benefit options an employer can
offer themselves and their employees.
Mystery shopper report
Have you ever wondered how patients would rate the service they receive at your
clinic? Well, now you can find out! As an Aspire member*, you will have access to an
annual Mystery Shopper Report. This report will identify areas of strength and areas
for improvement to the quality of service delivered by your front-office staff.
Front office staff certification program
Health care is changing rapidly. Consumers are educated and are demanding that
we meet their needs. In the ideal service environment, we do not want to just meet
customers’ needs, we want to “delight” the customer. As Aspire members, your front
office staff are eligible to attend our Front Office Staff Certification training program
offered throughout the year *. In this half day seminar, your front office staff will
learn how to offer unbeatable customer service, manage customer behaviours, and
improve their communications skills.
* Note: Refer to the Aspire Overview for membership level requirements. The Aspire
HSA program is not available in Quebec.

Development
Aspire Business Symposiums
Business symposiums will be held semi-annually to allow Aspire business owners to
network with peers and to learn business strategies aimed at growing their business,
identify ways to enhance their competitiveness, and take the right steps to realize the
full potential of your business.
The symposiums are available at no cost to Silver, Gold and Platinum members and
on a 50% co-funded basis to Entry and Bronze level members. Aspire rewards funds
may be used to pay for business symposiums by Entry and Bronze level members.
Enhancements to our symposiums include a longer format to allow for a greater depth
in educational guest speakers and learning sessions.

Perkopolis provides discounts to members in categories such as: Health & Wellness,

more! As a Perkopolis member, you and your employees will each be given a
unique Member ID to be used for registration, ordering and tracking purposes.

“Friends and Family” pricing for hearing aids
As a member of Aspire, you and your employees and their immediate family are
eligible to participate in our “Friends and Family Pricing Program,” as follows:
Net Invoiced Price • Net pricing is for the hearing instrument
only and does not include any dispensing fees,
(hearing aid cost only) accessories or other services performed by the
hearing care professional.
ENTRY $300 • Cannot be combined with any other
promotion, discounts or rebates to the patient
MID $400 or the hearing clinic.
• Patients may not be eligible for government
HIGH $500 funding on hearing instruments purchased
under this special pricing program.
$600ADVANCED • Hearing instruments purchased under this
program include the standard two year warranty.
• Maximum of two hearing instruments per
eligible patient every two years.
Aspire Program Rules
1. Qualification for Aspire and Aspire Rewards Level is at sole discretion
of Sivantos Inc. (“Sivantos”).
2. Eligible Sivantos customers will be automatically enrolled each fiscal year
(October 1st – September 30th) and placed in the appropriate rewards level based on estimated
annual Sivantos net purchases as per Aspire qualification conditions.
3. Net purchases is defined as qualifying purchases net of returns and after volume discounts
or service fees for the fiscal year.
4. Purchases made under certain government funded programs may be ineligible
for inclusion in such rewards programs and therefore can not be included in the calculation
and net purchases for the purpose of qualification.
5. For customers who first qualify for Aspire membership after October 1st, Aspire rewards
will be pro-rated for the first partial year of membership.
6. Sivantos reserves the right to cancel vested and unvested rewards on dormant accounts
after six months. Unused rewards expire after 2 years.
7. Sivantos reserves the right to invoice customers for all paid-out, unvested monetary
rewards if 75% of their respective annual qualification requirement is not achieved or the
customer’s account does not remain in good standing throughout the fiscal year.
Re-payment to Sivantos is required within 30 days of the invoice.
8. The customer is responsible for reporting and remitting any applicable taxes related
to Aspire rewards.
9. Unused rewards will be carried forward at the end of each fiscal year
for use in the following year, subject to Rules 6 and 7.
10. Proof of business related purchase is required in order to claim monetary rewards.
Monetary rewards shall not be used to pay for hearing instruments.
11. In order to claim monetary rewards, all customer accounts with Sivantos must be current
and in good standing. Sivantos may reimburse monetary rewards within 30 days of request.
12. Use of Siemens logo is prohibited without the express written consent of Sivantos.
13. Sivantos reserves the right to add or remove customers from the Aspire program at its
sole discretion without notice.
14. Sivantos reserves the right to modify or discontinue its Aspire program at any time,
without penalty.
15. Sivantos standard Terms and Conditions shall continue to apply to all purchases.
