My Snapshot
Autobiography

My Birth Story

I interviewed my mother for my birth story because
she had the most experience with me. My mother
said it was one of the happiest days of her life. I
was supposed to come a week earlier. My mom
went to the hospital because it was the day the
doctors estimated i would come, but i didn’t, so my
mom got worried. The doctors said the if i didn’t
come in 1 week then my mom would have to go to
the hospital. And of course i didn’t come in 1 week
so my mom went to the hospital and they gave her
a medication to help me come out faster. My mom
said she was really confused and scared because I
was her first baby. When I finally came out my
mom had a big relief and said it was love at first
sight. My mother stayed in the hospital for 2 more
day, then the hospital finally released her to go
home with my dad. I was born on June 9,2005, in
Valley Presbyterian hospital, at 12.00 am.

Life Event #1

One important life event was when my cousin died.
Her name was Josselyn and she was about 4 months
when she died. Her cause of death was suffocation by
mucus in her throat, she was sick and was in the
hospital all her life. This event shaped who I am
today because that was when I realized how lucky I
am the have no problems with my body. It’s true
everyone gets sick sometimes but not severely. I am
grateful to have this life even if sometimes I wish I
had another better life. This life event also made me
grateful that when I had a problem, there was always
a cure. For example I had something in my ear when
i was little that prevented me from hearing well and I
needed to get surgery and medicine and that was it,
but my cousin had no cure for her illness. That is
why I’m grateful for this life. This is one important
thing that happened in my life and shaped me to who
I am today.

Life Event #2

An important experience that shaped who I am today is when I was 5
years old. My family and I were in San Pedro in a restaurant. My family
was done eating so we were getting ready to leave and my aunt and
uncle, who I was and still am very attached to, left first and I followed
them and I was trying to catch their attention but the didn’t hear me or
of course see me because it was VERY crowded that day. Back to my
mom and Dad, they noticed I was gone so they first thought I left with
my aunt and uncle, because they knew I was attached to them a lot. But
my mom had this gut feeling in her stomach that she should call my
aunt, and she did and my aunt told her that I wasn’t with them so my
mom panicked and was trying to find me while my dad was talking to
the police. Now back to me, once I knew they weren’t listening I left and
went back to the restaurant and sat and waited. Lucky enough my
cousin went by and saw me and took me to my mom. My mother said
when she saw me she immediately dropped her drink and ran to get me.
This event shaped how I am today by understanding reality more. I was
only 5 years old and could find my way back to the restaurant in a
crowded place! That is very impressive. I wonder all the time if I
wouldn’t have known where to go would the have found be, would I be
taken? This is an important experience I had that shaped who I am
today.

Life Event #3

An important life event was my 5th grade

graduation. It was one of the happiest
days of my life. It shaped who I am today
by making me have way more confidence
and self-esteem. I felt very proud of myself
because I was one of the best students.
Even if it was just 5 grade I graduated and
with a good grade, and good teacher, good
behavior, and good friends. I felt more
mature when I graduated and felt more
free. I was the class of 2016 and i
graduated in Catskill Elementary School.
This is an important life event that shaped
who I am today my 5th grade graduation..
