Letter from an Interim Executive
Committee Member

Dear GCian,
It is six weeks since we took over. When we opened the cupboards of OGCOWA a lot of skeletons were lying in it, and
we, as a new team, are trying our level best to clear it up and give fresh life to our Association. It will take some time to
do it and we will do it. We do not have a magic wand with us to bring transformation overnight. Till such time, we
request the residents to be patient. At the end of the day we are also residents who have volunteered to try to make GC
a better place for all of us.
It is heartening to see positive mails and disheartening to see some of the mails which are sent with ulterior motives.
Whatever it may be, we are happy that we have an energetic team with positive attitudes and without any vested
interest.
We once again assure you that all the backlogs which have been pending for quite some time will be cleared at the
earliest. If you have any genuine doubts or clarifications to be cleared, you are most welcome to approach any of the
interim EC members.
Thank You,
Interim Executive Committee

FROM THE INTERIM
SECRETARY’S DESK

Dear Residents and Members, Ram Viswanathan
Interim Secretary
Just over six weeks ago, we had an EGM where you elected our
Interim Executive Committee team. After the EGM had concluded,
the ex-President Mr Jana handed over the keys to the sealed cabinet
where the ex-Secretary had placed the documents of the Association.
The cabinet was unsealed in Mr Jana’s presence. There was no
document list or a checklist present inside. Hence, a checklist was
prepared on Sunday, August 12, 2018 in the presence of Mr Jana and
some of the Interim EC members.

We are putting a process in place for document handling and its
storage so that the Association’s agreements, filings, etc. are secure,
easy to locate, access and track going forward.

We would also like to announce that the Interim Executive
Committee shall make ourselves available at the OGCOWA office in
Tower 34 Ground Floor every Saturday between 11 am and 1 pm for
members who have any queries, or wish to talk on a regular basis.
Any changes or updates to this schedule will be published via ADDA
and WhatsApp.

We would like to share a list of the various works currently underway,
or just completed, in GC that the Interim EC team is tracking.
