Snapshot Autobiography Project

● Once you have completed your rough draft, you will organize your final draft as a Google
Slide project.

● There must be a Title Slide with the title of your project and your name, and a minimum of
one slide for each event, and a slide for the “About the Author” section. Each slide should
have the text from your rough draft, and the image you have chosen to go with it. You can
decorate each slide how you like, just make sure it can be easily read.

● This project is worth a total of 50 points:
○ Title Slide is worth 2 points.
○ About the Author is worth 8 points, written in the 3rd person.
○ Each Event in your life section is worth up to 10 points each:
■ 1 point for the title
■ 7 points for the story (5 sentences, proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling)
■ 2 points for the image

● Optional: You can do this for extra credit or for creativity!
● Now you are ready to convert your Google Slides into a Flipbook!

○ Once you have finished your Google Slides presentation, go to “File” (upper left) and then “Download” and
choose PDF. Save this in your Google Drive or on your Desktop or Documents to upload later.

○ On another tab, you will go to www.anyflip.com and create an account by connecting with Google. Click “Sign
In” at the top right side of the page. From there you will click the red button that reads, “Create with Google”
and it will link directly to your Google Drive.

○ Once you have created your account, you will then proceed to click on “Quick Upload” at the top left of the
webpage.

○ You will then click on Add New Book. Enter your title.
○ You will then be prompted to upload your PDF of your Google Slides presentation you saved earlier. Depending

on your computer setup, you may be able to just upload it from your drive, drag and drop it, or you may have to
save the PDF to your documents/desktop prior to this step. **If you are having trouble with step 5, you may have to save

your PDF to your desktop first (or anywhere in your computer). You will have to go to your Google Drive and select the PDF you
created. You will left click and then download. It will download and then you will click on File and Save As. Save it to your

computer (you choose where). **
○ Once you have uploaded your PDF and it has fully converted, then you will Save and Close.

My Trip to New York & East Coast

It was July 9,2019 at 8pm, My parents and I were https://drive.google.com/file/d/1v
at LAX Airport and we were going to New York for 2nD13q3NNn9cmiFb8bpXnrcX
one Week. I was so excited to go to New York cause wd18SN4/view?usp=sharing
it was my first time! Our flight departed at 9:30pm,
on Jetblue Airlines to JFK Airport, it is a 5hr
20mins flight. We reach JFK Airport at 6 AM. We
had a schedule for one week where we will be going
Downtown, the Brooklyn Bridge, Time
Square,Niagara Falls, Harvard University, 230
FIFTH Rooftop, National 9/11 Memorial,Statue Of
Liberty,and One World Observatory. Our last
destination which means our last day to New York
was Harvard University. I had so much fun in New
york with my Parents. I’m really grateful to my
parents for taking me to New York was the best
experience ever!

My Family celebrates my thirteenth birthday This Year

How My family celebrated my 13 birthday this year was fun All About ME (click the “All

up at 7:30am and said, “Happy Birthday to me”. I had school
that day. I woke up after saying “thank you” to my family say
“Happy Brithday to Me”. My school starts at 8am and ends at
2:30pm. When all my classes end My parents invited our
family to my birthday. I didn’t want to have a birthday party
because I don’t like to party, I like to keep it fun and simple.
My mom cooks Indian foods such as chicken curry,lamb curry
and rice for dinner. After my family and I all ate. I decided to
cut the cake when they all sang the “Happy birthday” song to
me.The cake my parents ordered was Banana cakes and it tastes
so sweet. This year I had a fun and simple birthday.

Getting Honor Roll in straight in Middle School

Narrative

In 6th grade and 7th was my lucky year to get Honor Roll at My Image
Stephen White Middle School. I was Happy and lucky to get
an Honor Rolls for the first time in 6th grade in middle https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z-IwImUtILqnLe
school because I had a good grade point average (gpa) Ye1_L-OWAGU1CQ3UFT/view?usp=sharing
between 3.5 to 4.0. My parents were so proud that I worked
so hard and tried my best to get an honor Roll. In 7th grade Click the link to see the pictures
was also my lucky year to get an honor Roll. After trying my
best at work at school to get 4.0 gpa as Principle Awards. I
also got an Attendance Award at Stephen White Middle
School where I never was absent. Both years at middle
school were my lucky years to be on Honor Roll. I hope 8th
grade will be my lucky year too to get an honor Roll,which
will be my last year for middle school. I hope I get an Honor
Roll this year because I can go to visit Fiji Island which is
my home country for summer vacation when COVID-19
ends.

How My Parents found out I had both hearing loss

I went to Lautoka Temple Preschool at Lautoka City in Fiji
at the age of 4. Ms Singh, my teacher, recognized that
pronunciation of words were spoken by me differently and I
was reading lips as she spoke to me. Ms Singh tested me
several times as she taught me.My Parents took me to
Dr.Sunita Ram at Lautoka Hospital where they took a hearing
test (audiometry) and found out that I have a Severe hearing
loss in both ears. My family was shocked and sad they didn’t
expect this from me because my older brother was totally
fine. My parents took me to the hospital and they ran some
tests on me. They helped me by staying positive and not
thinking about negative thoughts. I think this was helpful
because I was really scared that something would happen to
me in future. I was really scared that something would
happen to me in the future because I would get bullied and
say rude things about me by other people such as students at
school that I could not hear.

About the Author

Shreya Chand’s birthday is on June 3,2007. Shreya's My Image
family are Indian but they are not from India. She was born
on Fiji Island. The hospital she was born in was Lautoka
Hospital at 6:30pm. She weighed 50 pounds. She has a
brother who is 10 year older than her. He is a student at
UCLA University. He studies Neo-Science. She does not
have a sister. Shreya is the youngest child in her family. Her
favorite food is French Fries. When Shreya grow up she
wanted to be a Computer Science engineer. She loves to
spend time with her family and watch movies alone when
she has free time. Shreya's favorite School subject is Math.
