"welcome to a world
of unjustness"

by Jasiel Hor

welcome to a world of unjustness,
we hope you enjoy your stay,

all here to answer the humanitarian call,
but it is reputedly not for all.

he was given all responsibilities,
forgotten long her capabilities,

would she contribute more to society,
if she was designated to second place?

she works twice as hard,
yet he earns twice as much,
and when it comes to voicing opinions,
suppressed is her voice.

to girls we have to support,
education for them just like passports,

it is not that they are weak,
or cannot speak.

let it stay hidden upon your shelves,
the pity you have for us,
and instead between us,
look straight eye to eye.

welcome to a world of unjustness,
where the dividing line never cease to

exist,
it would be your best quality,
if you believed in equality.

Who do I call?
Nathanie mentioned that she had wrote the
song in memorial of a loved one who past,
"I had never really experienced grief like that,
so I needed to express that feeling of longing
to hear someone's voice, but not being able to.
I kinda buried this story in the verses so, at first
glance, it could definitely be seen as a
breakup song." said the artist.

people didn’t understand how as a person, we

do change. "There was a disconnect with the
people I used to know; they tell me I’m acting
different yet we are all evolving. I learned how
to stay attached to this new version of myself

while honoring things in the past."

Yellow
"…is about racism. It’s a question to people much
older, how they dealt with oppression and
discrimination. Does it get better? It’s me
expressing the inability to cope with it, which
feels like a fire that burns." said Nathanie.
