Hula Hoop Tic Tac
Toe Relay

Instructions:

There will be two individual teams and when the

whistle blows both teams will take one out of the two

color jerseys and then run to the hula hoops. Once

you go back, you tag the next person in line and then

they will pick up another jersey and put it in another

hula hoop. You do this until the first tic tac toe

winner. Then the winner will reset the game and pick

up the jerseys and bring them back to the starting

point.
Objective: to beat the other team in tic tac toe

Equipment: 2 color jerseys

Time Requirement: 6 minutes

Waspital Instructions:
Everyone will start in the open space and there will be 2
wasps (taggers) in a small squared area with cones that will
be the hospital. Each player has 2 band-aids (2 hands). On
the whistle everyone will start of running avoiding to get
tagged by the wasps. If you get stung you must put one of
your hands on the place you got stung. If tagged again you
put your free hand on the second wound. If tagged for a
third time you go to the waspital. In the hospital you have to
do hop on one leg three times or balance on one leg for 5
seconds to be healed, then you are allowed to go back and
play.
Objective: to not be stung by the wasps
Equipment: cones

Instructions: I will randomly choose two people to 6

be skunks which are the taggers. There will be 4 hula hoops
in the corners of the gym that are the safe areas. You can
only take a 5 second break in those areas. Then there will be
1 hula hoop in the middle of the gym which is the skunks
home. The players will start spread out in the playing area.
On the whistle the skunks will go and tag someone or
attempt to do so. If a player is tagged he/she switches roles
with skunk and is now the new skunk. Before they go tag
people they must go to the skunk home and yell out new
home so players are aware of the new skunk. player
Objective: to not be tagged by the skunks
Equipment: 4 hula hoops

Skunk tag

Instructions:

The class will be split into two teams, one team which will be

5 inside the circle the other team outside of the ones inside.

Each player in the middle will have a flag in his/her hand. If

a player on the inside is hit from the waist down, she/he

must trade places with the player who rolled or threw the

ball. The player also hands off the flag to the new person in

the circle. A player cannot reach in front of another player to

retrieve the ball. The outside players must stay on their X’s

while retrieving or throwing the ball. If a ball goes outside

the circle, only one player at a time should retrieve it. The

Circle player closest to where the ball exited the playing area
should retrieve a lost ball. If the players on the outside
cannot hit any of the inside players for two full minutes, the
dodgeball round is over and a new round starts with new players on
the inside chosen by the leader. Students on cones on the
outside circle attempting to hit players on the inside of the

circle from the waist down with the ball.

Objective: to not get hit by the dodgeball being in the

middle

Equipment: dodgeballs, flags on waist, and cones

Space Requirement: half court

Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes 7

Cone ball relay

Instructions:
The class will be split into teams. One on one side of the gym
and the other on one side of the gym. Each team will have a
cone and one ball. Using the cone you will get the ball into
the other person’s cone in the fastest way as possible till it
gets to the end. Once its at the end the last person puts their
cone down and does 5 jumps with the jump rope and goes
run to the flag which indicates the finish line. Once the team
who finishes the fastest wins
Objective: teams will be working together to finish the
relay
Equipment: construction cones and 2 balls
Key Skills: cooperation
Space Requirement: full court
Time Requirement: 4-7 minutes

Boot that Ball!

Instructions:
There will be an A team and B team counted off. There are 4
bases spreaded out around the gym. There will be a person
at each base and then one person in the middle base while
the first runner up is at the home base waiting to kick the
ball. The person in the middle will roll the ball to the first
player and he/she must kick the ball far enough in bounds to
run to another base without being tagged. If out of bounds
that would be a foul and a strike if the ball is not kicked or
missed when rolled.
Objective: each team is to get to 6 points by kicking the ball
running to one of the 3 bases and once you hit home that is a
winning point.
Equipment: kickball

Time Requirement: 5-7 minutes

Bean Bag Instructions:
relay
Students will be lined up in groups of three behind a cone
and a cone would be on the other end where they are trying
to go and each group will have one bean bag. On the whistle
I will say go and each person will be balancing the bean bag
on head for the first round then the second time I can
switch it up and say balance beam bag on your arm. Then
they would balance the bean bag on their arm and go down
and around the cone and back

• Objective: to be able to get to the other side of the court

Hurl the How to play:
Aunt
Jemima’s One player at a time from each group walks up to the net,
balancing a bean bag (or ball) on their racquet, then flings it
over to the other side to try and land it in the hula hoops for
points. The first ones to get the most bean bags in their
hoops wins.
Objective: two groups will go against each other to get the

most bean bags in their hula hoops
Equipment: hula hoops, a volleyball net, bean bags, and

racquet
Key Skills: balance and focus
Space Requirement: half court
Time Requirement: 4 minutes

Throw catch clap

How to play:

At each cone, throw the ball up in the air, clap 3 times then
catch it and put it up. At the hoop, throw the ball up, spin
around, then catch it, then run back!!
There will be groups of 3 or less and attempting to do this
until everyone in each point gets to the finish point.
First team to finish wins.
Objective: to be able to catch and clap the ball and make a
shot
Equipment: ball and short cones
Key Skills: balance and coordination
Space Requirement: three-quarters of court
Time Requirement: 5-7 minutes

Snowberg

Instructions:
Everyone will find a space around the mats. On the
whistle everyone will start skipping. After 1 minute

I will call a number and you have to rush in that
number on one of the mats placed. If you don’t have
the correct number of people on your mat you have

to do 5 jumping jacks and 5 star jacks.
Objective: to stay off the ice or on the safety mats

to avoid being caught in the snow
Equipment: 5 gym mats
