Security and Data Integrity

 Data access and transaction execution security is enforced both vertically (based on
organisational role) and horizontally (based on e.g. regional/local/club membership).

 Transaction logging (Black box): each and every read/write transaction is registered and
securely stored, including user, timestamp and all relevant transaction data.

 SSL protocol (256-bit) is used to encrypt all data transferred over the network.
 Nightly database backups are executed and safely stored on two distinct locations,

8 and a redundant application instance ensures that the system can promptly be
restored in case of general failure.

User Interface

User Interface Topics

 The user interface has been recently refactored and modernized to implement the
widely adopted AJAX Framework, JSF 2.0, and uses state-of-the-art UI components.

 The UI is designed to be efficient, user-friendly, intuitive, and to ease access and
handling of frequently used functions.

 COMET is compatible with all most frequently used browsers in the market (e.g. MS
Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc…), including mobile browsers.

 The user interface is multilingual (including English, Croatian, Slovenian, Albanian,
Macedonian, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese ), multialphabet (latin, cyrillic, arabic), bi-
directional (R2L, L2R).
 Every end-user can customize its user interface by selecting one of 30 various

9 design themes.

Integration and Data Exchange

 As a single source of official football information, COMET is synchronously exporting
context-relevant data into other systems and websites (e.g. Croatian Football
Federation website, National Leagues websites...etc).

 COMET is the first Football Management System in the world that has implemented a
Data Exchange procedure between 2 football organisations, namely between the
Croatian Football Federation and UEFA. Full International Match Reports are
automatically imported into COMET from the UEFA FAME system.
 We are active contributors to the development of international football standard
