Life cycle of a tiger

A life cycle of a tiger is not very complicated. The mother tiger only gives a
litter of 2 or 3 cubs. When the tiger is newly born it depends on its mother
entirely. It counts on the mother tiger to give it food and water. Once the tiger
is a child, it starts to wonder around and follows its mother. The mother tiger
during this time starts to show the child cub how to hunt where to find food
and water. The mother only teaches them all this in the short time of 2 or 3
years. Once the three years are over she leaves the young tigers and they go
off on their own. As the time goes by the tigers get better at what they learned
and are finally adults.

Why tigers are going endangered

The primary threats to the survival of Siberian t igers a re poaching and habitat loss from
intensive logging and development. The Siberian Tiger is classified as e ndangered by
the IUCN. South China tigers( Panthera tigris amoyensis) are the smallest of all the tiger
subspecies; it is also the most critically endangered. And there are not a lot of tiger left
in this world. And a lot of people are killing tigers.

Hunting

Prey. Another reason t igers hunt at night is because they prey mostly on

nocturnal animals. Large ungulates -- hoofed mammals, such as wild boar, deer, elk,
water buffalo and wild cattle -- make up a major portion of their diet.As carnivores,
tigers diets comprise almost exclusively of meat. There are, though, very rare occasions
on which tigers will resort to eating fruits, berries and grasses (usually to aid digestion).
In order to survive in the wild, it is of paramount importance that tigers become
accomplished hunters at a young age.
