About NOM CHEMY

Nom Chemy game is a computer based game modified from the game Jungle
Monkey Run. Jungle Monkey Run is an Android-based game on the Google Play Store
where the download reaches more than 10 million. This game is an adventure game to get
points illustrated with bananas and a player character in the form of a monkey. The way
to play this game is by touching the phone screen to jump, take cover and avoid shade.

In the Nom Chemy game, the game is modified to be more chemical by using
elements or objects in the chemical laboratory environment, for example Erlenmeyer as
a buton containing training questions. In addition, in the display menu there are
materials for IUPAC inorganic compound names, indicators, learning objectives and game
rules.

The way to play in this game is the same as as many players as possible
collect the compounds in the Erlenmeyer tube by walking by pressing a button on the
keyboard on the computer, then the player will be given a problem in the form of
determining the name of the compound obtained or identifying the compound formula. In
addition, the player must successfully avoid obstacles by pressing the down or up arrow
keys. There are 5 lives in each level as a provision to play until the last level. Three
levels in this game are made according to learning objectives

The obstacles that players pass through in the game are bombs and iron
spikes. If the player hits one of these obstacles, the player's life will be reduced 1. If
the player answers the question wrong then the penalty that the player gets is to read
the material without a close or skip button for a few seconds. The hope after reading
the students is not wrong in answering the next question.

Game Levels

Nom Chemy game has 3 game levels:
1. LEVEL 1

At each level there are Erlenmyers, Pumpkins and obstacles (snakes, cacti, and
mines). At this level the player must take Erlenmyer which contains questions and
answer questions to get a score. Erlenmyer contains cations and anions of binary
compounds, measuring flasks are items to add lives symbolized by the heart and
players must avoid obstacles so that lives can be used until the end of the level.
There are 5 questions, with every 1 question containing 2 questions. Players must
work on a minimum of 3 correct questions to be able to advance to the next level.
2. LEVEL 2

At level 2 the player must take Erlenmyer which contains questions and answer
questions to get a score. Erlenmyer contains molecular binary compounds, measuring
flask is an item to add lives symbolized by the heart and players must avoid
obstacles so that lives can be used until the end of the level. There are 10 questions.
Players must work on a minimum of 7 correct questions to be able to advance to the
next level.
3. LEVEL 3

At level 3 players must take Erlenmyer which contains questions and answer
questions to get a score. Erlenmyer contains cations and anions of polyatomic
compounds and acid-base, measuring flask is an item to add lives symbolized by the
heart and players must avoid obstacles so that lives can be used to the end of the
level. There are 15 questions, players must do the correct questions with a minimum
of 21 questions to get a reward.

Game Instructions

1. Use the keys on the → keyboard to walk right, ← to walk left and
press the Z key to jump to avoid obstacles.
2. You have to take Erlenmeyer who will come up with a problem that you have
to do.
3. Every correct question will get a score of 10 and the answer is wrong then
you must read the material.
4. There are 5 lives (red Erlenmeyer) and an additional 1 life in each level to
survive until the end of the game.
5. There are 3 levels in this game:
Level 1: there are 5 questions, you must do at least 3 correct questions to be
able to proceed to the next level.
Level 2: there are 10 questions, you have to do at least 7 correct questions to
be able to proceed to the next level.
Level 3: there are 15 questions, you must do at least 10 questions that are
correct for later in total, so get a reward in the form of a silver or gold trophy.
6. If the correct question reaches 21-25 (the minimum amount that must be
true) then you will get a reward in the form of a silver trophy, if more than 25
will get a golden trophy reward.

How To Operate Game

1. Open the application in the computer

2. After opening the application the display will appear as follows:
3. After that the selected language will appear, as shown below:

7

4. Then, after the language is selected and the "next" button appears the main menu in the
game.

On the menu there is the main button:

= button play, to start the game
= button credits, contains developer‟s identity
= button to adjust the sound of game music.

= button to show game rules
5. The display of Game Rules

= button to back to the menu
= button to next the game rules

8

6. The display of subject matter

= button returns to the menu
7. The Display of basic competence and learning indicators

= button returns to the subject matter
8. The display of learning objectivies.

9

= button returns to the material view
= button returns to the indicator menu
= next button to the learning destination page

9. The Display menu material classified according to the type of compound
One example of a compound nomenclature subject matter:

10. Display when clicked on the “play” button
The level menu display will appear as follows:

There are 3 levels in Nom
Chemy. Level 2 and 3 are
still locked. Players must
work on the minimum
number of questions in
level 1 first to advance to
the next level.

10

11. Then click on level 1, which is about the nomenclature of the binary ionic
compounds, the display will appear as follows :
Players must walk to take all
Erlemeyer containing cations
and anions then answer
questions. There are 5
questions in this level, the
player must work out at
least 3 questions to get to
the next level.

There are several items at the top of the screen :
- = player's life, the player has 5 chances on each level.
- = the amount of Erlenmeyer the player gets
- = to find out what is the correct answer score

12. After that the player will meet with obstacles, and Erlenmeyer cations / anions.
As follows:

11

13. After take the cations and anions of Erlenmeyer will showing question. Like
the following display:

14. If the player answers the question correctly, it will get a score of 10

If you click „Skip‟ then the game will continue, if you click „See explanation, an
explanation will appear as follows:

12

15. If the player answers the question incorrectly, he will not get a score and must
read the explanation.

Then click 'View Explanation' and the display will appear as follows:

16. In the middle of the journey, players will meet with a measuring flask that
serves as a life enhancer (increased HEART)
13

17. If the life of player is run out the game will showing “game over”

= button back to menu
= button to repeat the game
18. The Display if the player have done in level 1, and go on to the level 2.

= button to go on the next level

14

19. At the next level, which is about the nomenclature of molecular binary

compounds. Display level 2 as follows: After succeeding at level 1

the player must find

compounds in different

places by answering

questions. There are 10

Erlenmeyers that contain 10

questions. Players must do 7

correct questions to

proceed to the next level.

At this level contains the

matter of molecular

compounds.

20.One of the display questions and answer choices at level 2

21. If the player answers the questions correctly, he will get a score of 10. Players
can choose to continue the game or see the explanation.

15

22. If the player is wrong then he doesn't get a score. Players must also read the
explanation of the problem..

23.The display of subject matter:

24. At the next level (level 3) contains material on acid and base polyatomic

compounds.

After succeeding at level 2 the

player must find the compound in

Erlenmeyer by answering questions.

There are 18 Erlenmeyer which

contains 15 questions. Players must

work on the problem by making sure

the number of correct questions

reaches a minimum of 21 questions.

At this level, the material contains

polyatomic acids and bases

16

25.When you take Erlenmeyer, compounds will appear in Erlenmeyer. The display
and question its same with level 1 and 2.
