The window to success
Written by Linisha Rishony Christy

• Mohan is a very hardworking and kind boy. Once he got a chance to join a running race
competition. Becoming an athlete was his dream. Few days before the competition he fainted
and was admitted to the hospital. When he gained his conciousness, he realised that the
competition was over. He couldn’t compete in the race, he was heartbroken. He thought that
the Race was a chance to show himself to the world but that did not happen. When he got back
home he saw his father and said “Father I really want to run and win the race for our county. I
know this race is far away from it but I want to go there.” His father said “If the door closes try
to open the window. Whatever you do you have to have confidence. Maybe they did not see
you now but you can join other races to open a window for yourself”.Lot of people say” if god
closes the door he will open a window” but god won’t open it for us we have to open it
ourselves, make a chance for ourselves. Soon he was seen by a very good coach and was
trained. He started running for his country too.

GIVING IS IMPORTANT BY DHARSHINI G

• “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

• Winston Churchill

• Giving is the most important thing ever. Giving people makes you feel better than spending it on yourself,
giving to charitable causes and non profits actually causes you to feel more positive. In simple terms,
giving just makes you feel good. Adding more meaning to your life in order to give others a chance at an
equally happy and meaningful life can have amazing effects on a ourselves. Charity organizations like Give
India, Smile Foundation, SERUDS are making efforts for others to lead a happy life. Donating to the causes
you care about not only benefits the charities themselves, it can be deeply rewarding for you too. Giving
creates a better you by strengthening your values and increasing your generosity. There are so many things
to be gifted: objects, love, patience, attention, time, advice, forgiveness, presence. A gift is the most
beautiful way to thank someone, apologize, show how we feel, or make friends with someone. Giving is an
act of art because it sums up the most beautiful wishes, feelings, and messages. From a small act of
kindness like a smile to bigger deeds like supporting a dear friend or helping a team member achieve
something that’s important to them–it’s an art. Ultimately, it helps you become a better and happier
person

LIFE IN LOCKDOWN BY M. BERYL GARCIA

• On 24th March, 2020 The Prime Minister annnounced Lock down. This was definitely going in my happiest moment
list. Some of my exams were cancelled and most of all, my dad gets to work from home, Deep Joy I learnt new
stuff like baking to do at home. It was one of my golden days. For the first 21 days, it was just amazing to spend
time with my family. Slowly, my golden days were turned to rusted days. Dad was too occupied with work. As days
went on by, online classes were scheduled and clases started and also my dad started going to work. Sooner than
I expected I started to miss my school.all my teachers, the tables where we used to eat lunch with all my friends,
the board where some of my friends prank each other with, my classroom where all my friends came together as
one.I learnt a lot of things in the lock down. When I used to go to school and my pencil is in half it's size, I used to
rush to the stationery shop to get another one and now as soon as one pencil is broken, I'm literally searching for
another one! We should be satisfied with what we have I used to think that my dad's job is very luxurious and all
that but only when he worked from home I knew how hard he has been working for me and my family. It takes a
lot to take care of a little pup. It was a whole new experience. It was good to have new one in our family. Spending
time with the pup was fun and sometimes it just wasn't...

I'm still longing for my school to re-open, the online classes are interesing but not as fun as attending classes
physically with friends and teachers.
