The day of my birth

Hello my name is Evelyn Ortiz and
I was born on October 27,2004 in
the hospital Saint Francis. The
people in the hospital with me
were my mom, grandma, and the
doctors. My mom named me
Evelyn because my grandma's
middle name is Evélia. I weighed
six pounds and fourteen ounces. I
know this because my mom told
me and the day I was born is my
birthday.

My Birthday

October 27,2004

October 27 is an important day
because it is my birthday. My
birthday is easy to remember
because it comes around every
year. It shapes me because it is
going to make me grow and
become older. My birthday is
very special because it is a day all
about me. That is why my
birthday is a very important life
event.

The time I got lost

One time when I was six i went to a Dodger
game with my family and Uncle. When the
game was over, everyone got up to leave. I
was in front of my family like if I was leading
them, and they took a turn and I didn’t
realize it until I looked back and didn’t see
them. I freaked out and my heart was
racing, so I retraced my steps. I started to
cry and a security guard spotted me. He
asked me what the problem was and i told
him everything. All of a sudden, my Uncle
comes to the rescue and calls my mom to
tell her where I was. When my mom comes,
I see her in tears, but I was in a lot of trouble
for being in front of my family.

Medieval Times Field Trip

I remember when I went to a medieval
times field trip in sixth grade. On the bus, I
got to sit next to my friend Michelle and at
the destination I sat next to my friend
Ashley. When we got there, we got to see
machines of torture, I also bought a glowing
wand. It was crowded with five other
schools and there was also horses. The
knights will get on the horse and either
battle or race. After battling, they would
come to their school area and throw a rose.
But before they would throw it, they would
kiss the rose. The first one he threw was too
high, but the second one was thrown
straight at me. I was disgusted by the fact
he kissed it, but I was happy that I caught it.
