This spelling book will assist your children in the recognition of words and their pronunciation, in order to assist them when asked to spell correctly. Students will be tested on correct spelling and writing on a weekly basis; generally 10 words per week unless otherwise advised in the communication book. Spelling Weekly Instructions 1. Spelling words and definitions will be discussed every Monday except holidays. 2. The Homeroom teacher will write the spelling words, their definitions and a sentence using each word in class every Monday. 3. All students will copy these words into their spelling book. 4. Spelling tests every Friday.
