EDITOR- IN- CHIEF
Good day to our dear readers!

Quickly, another quarter has passed and in this May issue, February to April activities
are shared vividly and in full color for you to recall and enjoy!

The dynamism of the present PDS Board, together with its standing committees and Maria Juliet E. Macarayo, MD
subspecialty groups is evident as it creates projects and activities with the different
chapters and dermatology institutions. ASSOCIATE EDITORS
As a witness to the outpouring of ideas and creativity, we need not ponder on how our
society can further evolve. We are continuously making our presence felt - both in the
national and international level.

This issue will make each one proud as we celebrated our 4th PDS Midyear Convention
in Cebu, as we joined international colleagues in the AAD and ISD, and as we shared Maricarr Pamela M. Lacuesta-Gutierrez, MD Ricky Hipolito, MD
(SPMC)
(RITM)
our knowledge in the books we have created. And not to forget, all the efforts put in
every CME and local missions - each of which speak of every PDS member - INVOLVED
and EVOLVED.
Thank you to Drs. Ricky Hipolito, Sarah Grace Tan, Pamela Lacuesta-Gutierrez and Carol
Carpio who worked with me in giving you this 2nd issue of PDS Skincontact! - JMAC

“One love, one heart, one destiny” - Bob Marley. This is perhaps the best description
that my humble mind can conjure of the PDS.

PDS is indeed the DermAuthority. Our achievements and collective endeavor put an
indelible mark in dermatological care not only in the Philippines, but to the World as
well.
Bernadette Lou G. Caluya, MD Maria Carla C. Perlas, MD
I remember as a first year dermatology resident, I had this dream of being a part of (OMMC) (EAMC)
this Society. Now, as an Associate Editor of the SkinContact, this has allowed me to
appreciate at a much closer perspective the importance and relevance of the PDS. I
have found greater respect and appreciation for the men and women who offer so
much of their time and energy to fulfill the goals of the PDS.

I am thankful for this meaningful opportunity to contribute our society. Truly, I am a
proud PDS dermatologist. - Ricky Hipolito Jeni M. Pua, MD Coreen Mae G. Copuyoc, MD
(SLMC)
(SCFI)
I am beyond grateful and ecstatic for the months that has been. The PDS has carefully
laid plans not only for its members, but also for our patients. The activities and
conferences fostered camaraderie amongst us and pushed the highest standard of
patient care to its fore.
Alma Gay Concepcion T. Amado, MD Christina Raissa F. Pasion, MD
Now, as we move towards the midyear, we shift gears and go full speed ahead. There (UERMMMC) (UP-PGH)
is no doubt that we are led by committed leaders who work endlessly to provide
us with the best the dermatology world has to offer. I am thankful to be part of the
DermAuthority! - Sarah Grace Tan

According to Ernest Holmes, within each one of us lie the unborn possibility of limitless
experiences. Therefore, in a certain sense, we are all MOTHERS since we own the Aenelle B. Dizon, MD
