คือ การพดู ถึงเรื่องทวั่ ไป เร่ืองท่ีทาํ ซ้าํ ๆ ในปัจจุบนั คือ การพดู ถึงเหตกุ ารณ์ท่ีเกิดข้ึนอยอู่ ยา่ งตอ่ เนื่องใน
ขณะน้นั แต่จะสิ้นสุดในไม่ชา้
- They swim in the pool -They are swimming in the pool.

(พวกเขาวา่ ยน้าํ ในสระวา่ ยน้าํ ) (พวกเขากาํ ลงั วา่ ยน้าํ ในสระวา่ ยน้าํ )

- He has breakfast. -He is having breakfast.

(เขารับประทานอาหารเชา้ ) (เขากาํ ลงั กินอาหารเชา้ )

- She goes to school. - She is going to school.

(หลอ่ นไปโรงเรียน) (หล่อนกาํ ลงั ไปโรงเรียน)

ใหต้ ดั e ออกแลว้ เติม ing
1.กริยาทวั่ ไปเติม ing ไดเ้ ลย live = living
walk = walking move = moving

2. ถา้ เป็นคาํ ท่ีสะกดดว้ ยสระเสียงส้ันและหนา้
ตวั สะกดเป็นสระในภาษาองั กฤษก่อนเติม ing ให้
เพิม่ ตวั สะกดอีกหน่ึงตวั แลว้ เติม ing
