Pulau Tioman is a duty-free island off Peninsular Malaysia's east coast, acclaimed as a geological wonder, ecological paradise and one of Southeast Asia's most beautiful travel destinations. Located 32 nautical miles off the mainland, but connected through Mersing (Johor) and Tanjung Gemuk (Pahang) via ferry, the island continues to enchant visitors with its warm beaches, lovely seas and lush greenery Best time to visit: The summer months of May through September are ideal for visiting Tioman Island. About 30°C is the average temperature. The sky is clear and bright, and the weather is comfortable. This is a tranquil time of day for water activities on the sea. 2 Tioman Island Top attractions: 1.TAT Turtle Sanctuary 2.Coral Island 3.Monkey Bay How to get there: You can get to Tioman Island via ferry from the port town of Mersing or Tanjung Gemok jetty, which takes about 90 minutes. From Kuala Lumpur, it takes about six hours to reach Mersing by bus, and the bus terminal in Mersing is only 15 minutes’ walk from the jetty to Tioman Island. Travel tips: What shall I pack? You don't need anything special for Tioman. Just pack your usual swim/beach wear, a towel, sun lotion, maybe some insect repellent and don't forget to bring a lot of fun!
Redang Island is located on Peninsular Malaysia's east coast, off the state of Terengganu. In keeping with the island's natural splendour, Redang Island Resort is situated in Teluk Siang, on the south of the island. A vast bay with crystal-clear seas, this amazing spot offers views of tourists having a good time as well as the desire to retreat into a tranquil and restorative getaway. Best time to visit: Redang Island is best visited in late March through October, when the weather is ideal and the scenery is stunning. May through August is the greatest time to visit if you want to see marine life. If you prefer off-peak pricing or a more sedate experience, you could wish to go in September or October. The Perhentian Islands, located off the northeast coast of Peninsular Malaysia, are a tropical paradise that encourages travellers with their crystalclear waters, lush jungles, and vibrant marine life. 4 Perhentian Island Top Activity: Jungle Trekking Most beaches are accessible via jungle paths which offer the chance to see lizards, monkeys, and flying foxes. Long Beach to Coral Bay is a popular route, as is hiking Besar Island north to south and taking the trail from Long Beach to D’Lagoon Windmill. No guides are needed for these hikes. Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah, Langkawi is a dutyfree island and an archipelago of 99 islands (plus five smaller islands visible in the Strait of Malacca only during low tide). It is situated near the Thai border, a short distance south of Ko Tarutao, and about 30 km off the coast of northwest Malaysia. Politically speaking, Kuah is the largest town in the administrative region of Kedah. The island's most visited beach and tourist destination is Pantai Cenang.
