2 a diversity of assistance in addition to education
subsidies and bursary.

Caring for the elderly without kin

The elderly without kin is a marginalized
group in society. They face various difficulties
such as poor living conditions, loneliness,
inability to care for oneself, etc. It aches one’s
heart to see their predicaments.

Upholding the virtue of respect for elders, the Charity Fund provided warmth
and care for the elderly without dependents, filling their void of loneliness and
meeting the basic financial and social needs in their life.

Bringing love and care to the elderly without kin rekindle their hope and
enthusiasm for life. Thus, the Charity Fund’s care for them never ceases.

Pandemic Caring Assistance

Together With Bodhi Meditation

During the Hard Times

Malaysia was not spared when the pandemic spread across the world. Many families
were greatly impacted. Some were rendered jobless and unemployed. Some even
had to endure hunger due to food shortages…

14

After learning of the plight of the families, the founder of Bodhi Meditation
Malaysia Charity Fund, Grandmaster JinBodhi, promptly assembled the charity
team and launched the “Pandemic Relief Programme”to provide food aid
and necessities to the needy families.

RM7.2million Worth of Food

People were rendered helpless when hit by the pandemic.
The Charity Fund has donated RM7.2million to purchase more
than 20,000 pandemic relief caring packs to tide the families over
the difficult time.

On 21 July 2021, the food aid was established and made available
through online application or phone; every pack of food aid consists of various food
supplies and basic household essentials that can last a family of 3 or 5 for a month.

Taking necessary preventive measures, the Charity Fund delivered the food
aid to the applicants to their doorstep to keep the families safe at their homes
during the pandemic.

When the food aid programme was

as simple as three words: I NEED HELP!

had lost his company during the movement control order (MCO) and her mother
worked as a low-income cashier. Without the money to provide their daughter with
a computer to attend the online classes, she was forced to stop school for a year,

Stories From BMYC Youths

The presence of a group of
vibrant volunteers can always be seen
in the activities of Bodhi Meditation
Malaysia Charity Fund, among which
are the visits to the disadvantaged
families. These volunteers are known
as the volunteers of Bodhi Meditation
Malaysia Youth Team.

Whether it’s the delivery of
food aid to the orang asli villages or
the home visits to the underprivileged
families, the youth volunteers communicated with the beneficiaries with benevolence
and sincerity. Apart from gaining various insights and inspirations from the charitable
activities, they brought vigour and enthusiasm to people around them.

It’s a Pity if Only One Person Quits Suffering and Abides in Joy;
It’s a Bliss When Everyone is Free From Suffering and Find Peace

Doing Good Deeds

Begin With You

As society changes and develops at a rapid rate, our possessions become abundant,
our standard of living improves, and our lives become peaceful and stable.

However, these changes aren’t blessings to
everyone. There are still those who suffer
from poverty and food shortages, those who
can’t afford their children’s education, and
the elderly who are unattended.

They are known as the disadvantaged
or marginalized group. Due to their limited
capability and power, they are unable to earn
an adequate income and live in inconspicuous

Protecting the environment, respecting
every life, every group and culture make us
