20TH YEAR CELEBRATION
SAFETY BULLETIN Chennai International Terminals Pvt Ltd (CITPL) was named
FISH UPDATES “Container Terminal Operator of the Year” for the third time at
the 10th South East Cargo & Logistics Awards 2018 ceremony.
TERMINAL UPDATES
CITPL had previously won the “Container Terminal Operator of
the Year” award in 2017 and 2013, whilst PSA-Sical was
named “Container Terminal Operator of the Year” in 2016. The
latest achievement marks three awards in three consecutive
years for PSA India’s terminals.CITPL’s Acting General
Manager Ms Tan Bee Teng said, “Winning this award for the
third time is both an honor and testament to the hard work of
the CITPL family".The awards ceremony was held in Chennai
on 29 June 2018 and organized by EXIM-India – one of India’s
leading trade publications – to recognize key service providers
and individuals in the logistics industry in Southern India.
MESA BUDGET EVENT
MESA Budget for the year 2019 was conducted at Mahabalipuram.
Terminal representatives from the region participated in this event to
discuss and agree on the strategic initiatives. During this event, each
terminal had an opportunity to present volume and financial
performances for the year 2017/18. In concurrence to Regional
management approach and expectations for the year 2019, the finance
budget was presented successfully.

CSR ACTIVITY
As a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Program activities, CITPL has
constructed a new toilet facility for “Sadhana Clarke School”, in Kelambakkam,
outskirts of Chennai, a school for the hearing and intellectually disabled children.
CITPL staff has also spent a day at the school to participate in some of the final
construction work and served lunch for the staff and children in the school on 13th
July. The newly constructed toilet facility will ensure that the staff and children will
be prepared for the Monsoons.
20TH YEAR CELEBRATION IN
PSA CITPL
On 23 July, PSA Chennai International Terminals Private Limited ("CITPL"), hosted
celebrations in Chennai to mark PSA’s 20th year in India. CITPL kicked off the PSA 20
celebrations with a staff event in the terminal where the all staff have gathered to view the
video message from PSA’s group CEO, Mr Tan Chong Meng. The RCEO , Mr Wan Chee
Foong and India MD, Mr Mike Formoso, have also joined the event.
CITPL Management conducted various events and all departments staffs have
put up performances to make the event a very successful and entertaining one at
end winners are awarded with a prize. All staff were then treated to a special and
delicious lunch at the end of the celebrations.
20TH YEAR CELEBRATION
TRADE MEET
20 Years ago, PSA started its first terminal in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu on 15 July 1998. At
this milestone, as a token of reciprocation to the trade and customers, a trade meet was
held on 23rd July at Taj Club House in Chennai. The event was augmented by the
participation of Chennai Customs, Chennai Port Trust, representatives from Shipping
lines, CONCOR, CHENSAA, CCBA, NACFS, Chambers, Trade Associations,
Customers, Vendors, Union and Press who attended to wish and embark PSA success
in India.

Mr Ajit Kumar; Chief Commissioner of Customs, Chennai addressed the gathering
“Wished PSA for its acheivements and presented the distinctive initiatives by Chennai
customs to enable transhipment and ease of doing business for the trade”.
Mr Raveendran Chairman of Chennai Port Trust, “Congratulated PSA for its 20th Year in
India, appreciated PSA CITPL for its splendid volume performance over the year 2017-18
and wished further success in future. He also accentuated the interest that PSA for its
investment portfolio in India.The celebration also included a video message from PSA’s
Group CEO, Mr Tan Chong Meng.

and causes. In this follow-up, we share some exercises to help reduce the chance of
developing MSDs. Exerxises that help improve core strength and muscle tone. Perform
these exercises slowly. If you have an existing muscle, joint or disc injury, or experience
pain with exercise, consult a doctor before doing exercises!

"KAALA" MOVIE
As Part of an Employee Engagement activity, CITPL Management arranged a
special show for movie "KAALA" to all CITPL staffs.
CITPL Management arranged three shows on 9th, 10th, 11th of June at AGS
Cinemas T.Nagar. These three shows where dedicated only to CITPL staffs and
their family members.
