Nearly every day, someone dies in a high speed pursuit
Every year, there are tens of thousands of police pursuits in the United States alone. These pursuits often result in injury, property damage and fatalities. Tragically, pursuits have resulted in an average of 355 deaths per year (1 per day) from 1996-2015, which includes not only the eeing perpetrators but innocent bystanders and law enforcement o cers.* In addition to the human toll, there are countless millions of dollars expended on the litigation associated with these pursuits.
There are a limited number of options available to law enforcement agencies while attempting to terminate a pursuit. Often these methods involve the use of numerous assets and equipment to determine the likely future route of the eeing suspect vehicle, and end with having police o cers leave their vehicle and place spike devices on the roadway, putting them at great risk. Sadly, the deployment of these devices has resulted in as many as 33 o cer deaths. Of these, 11 have occurred as a result of the o cer being struck by other pursuing o cers. Clearly, there needs to be a better way to terminate a pursuit.
This is where MobileSpike Technologies comes in. Our engineers have developed and patented a product that remotely deploys a disablement system and does not require the o cer to leave the vehicle. We intend to place MobileSpike units in every community across the country, making America and its people safer on our roads.
The Company has completed testing on its second generation model, which is now ready for market.

Sergeant Donovan Lucas - Utah Highway Patrol
What the press is saying
Police are using a robotic arm studded with spikes to pierce and de ate tires of evading suspects. The device gives a whole new meaning to the expression "long arm of the law."
MobileSpike Inc. o ers a tire-spiking system for law enforcement o cers to stop pursuits from the safety of their vehicle. It o ers MobileSpike, a vehicle-mounted, retractable, and in-motion tire-spik- ing system that reduces pursuit time and public risk.
Criminals and fugitives of the future beware! MobileSpike is a startup rm that may allow police access to get up close and quickly atten a car in a police chase pursuit quickly! As of now o cers have to plan ahead and predict where the car in the chase will go in order to spike their tires.
When rst looked at, the MobileSpike seems more like something out of a James Bond movie than a useful tool for law enforcement, but testing shows otherwise. Described as a vehicle disablement system that shoots out from the front of a police car, the MobileSpike acts as a robotic arm that can safely deploy a spike strips under the tire of a suspect’s vehicle during a high-speed chase.
